Cinnamoroll's colors are white and sky blue, and that makes a Cinnamoroll rug one of the gentlest character rugs there is. The classic design is his face on a round rug: white puppy, big blue eyes, soft pink cheeks and long, floppy ears, on a pale blue background. The other favorite is Cinnamoroll floating among fluffy clouds, which looks like a soft sky painting to anyone who doesn't know him. A puppy who flew down from the sky

Cinnamoroll was introduced by Sanrio in 2001. As his story goes, he's a little white puppy who came floating down from the sky one day and was found by the owner of Café Cinnamon, a cozy café, who named him after the cinnamon rolls they bake, because his tail curls just like one. He can fly by flapping his long ears, he loves the café's cinnamon rolls and he's shy but friendly. He became Café Cinnamon's mascot, and over the years, one of the most beloved characters in Sanrio's whole family, topping its annual character ranking several years running.

His face on a round rug

Cinnamoroll's face is simple and round, with his ears falling to each side, which makes it fit a round rug beautifully. On a 3.3 to 4.6 ft (100 to 140 cm) rug in pale blue, it becomes the soft center of a bedroom. On a larger 5.2 or 5.9 ft (160 or 180 cm) rug, his ears can stretch out to the edges. A Cinnamoroll-shaped rug

Cut to his outline, ears spread wide as if he's about to take off, Cinnamoroll makes one of the sweetest shaped rugs in our range. They go best with white or pale wood furniture, cream or blue bedding and soft, warm lighting. For a touch of contrast, add a little lilac or butter yellow. Avoid strong reds or blacks if you want to keep the calm, airy look that makes him special.

Dorms and first apartments

A Cinnamoroll rug is a lovely way to make a dorm room or a first apartment feel cozy. A 3.3×5 ft rug fits between most dorm beds, and a round rug fits under a desk chair. Machine wash on a gentle, cold cycle and let it air dry flat. Vacuum on a low setting between washes, and blot spills with cold water right away. The design is printed into the fibers, so the blue stays soft and the white stays bright, wash after wash, year after year.

A note on the character

A cinnamon roll kitchen

Cinnamoroll, created by Sanrio in 2001, was named for the curly tail that looks just like a cinnamon roll, and that makes him a natural fit for the kitchen. In Sweden, where the cinnamon bun is a national treat, October 4 is even celebrated as Cinnamon Bun Day.

A small rug in front of the oven or the coffee machine, with Cinnamoroll beside a plate of swirled buns, a cup of cocoa or a little café sign, brings his soft blue and cream into a busy room. In Standard, it grips the kitchen floor and goes in the washing machine after flour or coffee spills.
