About Trigun Rugs
Love, peace and a sixty-billion-double-dollar bounty
On a desert planet with two suns, one man has the largest bounty in history on his head. Towns are said to vanish when he passes through. But when people finally meet him, he's a goofy, donut-loving guy in a red coat who flirts, clowns around and refuses to kill anyone, even those trying to kill him. Trigun is a space western with heart, mixing slapstick comedy with a deep, tragic story about the value of every life. A Trigun-inspired rug brings its world into a room: a desert under two suns, a wanted poster, a donut pattern, round orange sunglasses, a red coat or a glowing plant bulb. Every design is printed into soft velvet and goes in the washing machine.

The series
Trigun is a manga by Yasuhiro Nightow that began in 1995 and continued as Trigun Maximum until 2007. Madhouse adapted it into a 26-episode anime in 1998, which became a cult classic, especially in the US, followed by a film in 2010 and a new 3D-animated series, Trigun Stampede, by the studio Orange in 2023. Vash the Stampede, the Humanoid Typhoon, wanders the desert planet Gunsmoke, chased by bounty hunters and followed by two insurance agents trying to limit the damage he causes. Joined by a priest who carries a giant cross-shaped weapon, Vash slowly reveals a mysterious past connected to the planet's origins and to his twin brother.
Two suns
Gunsmoke is a harsh world of sand, scrub and scattered towns, baking under two suns. A rug of a wide desert horizon with twin suns blazing in an orange sky is a warm, cinematic design for a living room or a home theater, and it reads as a gorgeous sci-fi landscape to anyone. For more, see our space rugs.
Wanted posters
The hero's wanted poster is famous, with its enormous bounty in double dollars, the planet's currency. A rug designed like a weathered wanted poster, with your own name, a sketch of your choosing and an absurd bounty of your own invention, is a funny, personal design for a game room or a man cave. Our custom rugs can print it in any size up to 5′11″ × 10′. For more frontier style, see our western rugs.
Donuts
The hero's greatest weakness is donuts, which he eats whenever he gets the chance. A rug of cheerful sprinkle-covered donuts in pink, chocolate and vanilla, in a repeating pattern, is a sweet, fun design for a kitchen or a kid's room, and an inside joke for fans. In a kitchen, choose Standard, 5 mm crushed velvet on a non-slip faux leather back, about 500 g/m², which stays put on tile. For more, see our kitchen rugs.
Round sunglasses
He wears small, round orange-tinted sunglasses, perched on his nose. A rug of a pair of round orange shades on deep red is a simple, stylish design for a bedroom or a dorm, recognizable only to fans. As a round rug, it's even more fitting. Our round rugs come from 2.6 to 5.9 ft (80 to 180 cm) across.
The red coat
His long red coat, flaring out behind him in the desert wind, is one of anime's most iconic outfits. A rug of a flowing red coat against sand-colored sky is a bold design for a teen's room or a cosplay corner, and a quiet tribute to a hero who stands out in a crowd.
Plants
On Gunsmoke, the settlers' survival depends on Plants, huge glowing bulbs that produce energy, water and light, and they hold the key to the hero's past. A rug of a giant glowing bulb of pale light, wrapped in machinery, is a beautiful, mysterious design for a gaming setup or a round rug. Under a gaming chair, choose Standard in 3.3×5 or 4×6 ft, which stays put and lets the wheels roll. For more, see our gaming rugs.
Love and peace
The hero's gentle creed, that no one has the right to take another person's life, is the soul of the series, tested again and again by enemies who want him to break. Fans remember it long after the gunfights fade. A peaceful desert rug in a quiet room is a small reminder of that hope.
Space westerns
Trigun mixes the classic western, with saloons, sheriffs, bounty hunters and showdowns at noon, with science fiction, from lost colony ships to advanced technology. A rug of a lonely saloon on a desert street, its sign creaking in the wind, is a fun design for a game room. For another classic space western, see our Cowboy Bebop rugs.
A cult classic in the US
The original anime aired on American TV in the early 2000s, on late-night anime blocks, and many American fans still name it as the series that got them into anime. Its rock-and-roll soundtrack and fast, funny style made it stand out from everything else at the time.
The insurance agents
Two insurance agents follow the hero across the desert to keep track of the damage he causes: a sharp, serious one and a tall, cheerful one who loves pudding. For best friends or roommates, a pair of rugs, a wanted poster and a donut pattern, is a fun nod to their unlikely partnership.
Twins
The story's deepest conflict is between twin brothers with opposite views of humanity. For twins sharing a room, a pair of matching desert rugs, one under a bright sun and one under a pale moon, is a fitting, beautiful pair.
For teens and adults
Trigun has gunfights and dark, tragic turns, and it suits teens and adults. The donuts, the two suns and the round sunglasses are the most lighthearted designs.
Bedrooms and dorms
A two-suns or red coat rug brings a warm, adventurous mood to a bedroom or a dorm. Choose Standard on hard floors. For a softer bedroom rug, choose Premium, 7 mm plush velvet on a bamboo and cotton back, about 700 g/m². Our bedroom rugs page has more layouts.
Game nights
For a western-themed game night, a wanted poster rug under the card table is a fun centerpiece; put every player's name on the poster, each with a sillier bounty than the last. A 4×6 ft rug fits under most card tables, and it goes in the washing machine after the snacks.
Hallways and entryways
Down a hallway, a custom runner up to 10 ft long printed as a long desert road under two suns is a cinematic passage. Just inside the front door, a small wanted poster rug is a funny welcome; keep it indoors, out of the weather.
Pairing with furniture
These rugs suit warm, rugged rooms: worn leather, weathered wood, a few cacti, brass lamps and sunset-colored walls. A red throw or cushion echoes the coat nicely.
Colors
Trigun-inspired designs look best in desert sand, burnt orange and deep red, with sky blue, pale gold and a glowing white for Plants.

Gifts
A Trigun-inspired rug makes a great gift for a longtime anime fan or a western lover. The wanted poster with their name is the most personal; the donut pattern is the sweetest.
Your own design
Want a wanted poster with your face, a desert with your own number of suns or donuts in your favorite flavors? Our custom rugs can print it, or cut it to shape with our shaped rugs. Please only send artwork you're allowed to use; official character art and stills belong to their owners. Custom rugs are made just for you and can't be returned.
Sizes, shipping and returns
Rectangles come in 2×3, 2.6×3.9, 3.3×5, 4×6 and 5×7 ft. Round rugs come from 2.6 to 5.9 ft (80 to 180 cm) across, and shaped rugs from 2.6×2.6 up to 5.2×5.9 ft (80×80 to 160×180 cm). Custom sizes go up to 5′11″ × 10′, including long runners. Every rug is printed to order in 1–3 business days and ships from Turkey; US delivery usually takes 2–5 business days after that. Unused rugs can be returned within 30 days on US orders; custom rugs can't be returned.
Care
Machine wash on a gentle, cold cycle and let it air dry flat. Vacuum on a low setting between washes, and blot spills with cold water right away. The design is printed into the fibers, so the red stays as bold as the coat, wash after wash.
Wolfwood and the Gung-Ho Guns
Vash's journey across the desert planet Gunsmoke gains a complicated companion in Nicholas D. Wolfwood, a chain-smoking traveling priest who carries the Punisher, a massive cross-shaped weapon wrapped in cloth that hides a machine gun and a rocket launcher. Wolfwood is funny, tough and deeply conflicted, and his friendship with Vash gives the story some of its most emotional moments.
Their enemies include the Gung-Ho Guns, a band of strange, deadly assassins sent by Vash's twin brother, Knives, each with a bizarre weapon or ability. The insurance agents Meryl Stryfe and Milly Thompson follow Vash to minimize the damage he causes, adding humor and heart.
Those details make striking rugs. A cloth-wrapped cross leaning against a sandstone wall is a powerful, symbolic design for a fan's bedroom. A small desert chapel under two suns, with an orphanage's laundry drying outside, nods to Wolfwood's backstory. A row of mysterious silhouettes, each with a strange weapon, captures the Gung-Ho Guns for a game room.
The 1998 anime became a cult classic in America, and Trigun Stampede, a 2023 reimagining by Studio Orange, introduced the story to new fans with a bold, modern look. Pair these designs with desert tones, faded reds and sun-bleached blues, a pair of round sunglasses on the shelf and a box of donuts on the table, and the room captures the series' mix of comedy and tragedy.
For fans who love Wolfwood's story, a cross-shaped design paired with a desert sunset often becomes the centerpiece of a room, a quiet tribute to one of anime's most beloved characters. Pair it with weathered wood, a cracked leather chair and a single warm lamp, and the space feels like a frontier chapel at dusk. It also suits fans of both the 1998 series and Stampede, since the cross and the two suns are shared by every version of the story.
