About Jujutsu Kaisen Rugs
Curses, sorcerers and cursed energy
A high school boy with superhuman strength swallows the finger of a legendary demon to save his friends, and wakes up sharing his body with the King of Curses. Jujutsu Kaisen became one of the biggest anime and manga hits of recent years, with jaw-dropping fights, dark humor and characters fans adore. A Jujutsu Kaisen-inspired rug brings its supernatural style into a room: an endless cosmic void of stars, red and blue energy swirling together into purple, a pair of shadow dogs, paper talismans or a misty temple school. Every design is printed into soft velvet and goes in the washing machine.

The cosmic void suits a fan of the strongest sorcerer, while shadow dogs and paper talismans are quieter designs for a bedroom or study.
The series
Jujutsu Kaisen was written and drawn by Gege Akutami and ran in Weekly Shōnen Jump from 2018 to 2024. It follows Yuji Itadori, who joins a secret school in Tokyo that trains jujutsu sorcerers, people who use cursed energy to fight curses born from human negativity. With his classmates Megumi, who summons creatures from his shadow, and Nobara, who fights with a hammer and nails, and under their brilliant, blindfolded teacher Satoru Gojo, Yuji tries to find all twenty of the demon king's fingers. The studio MAPPA's anime adaptation, which began in 2020, and the prequel film Jujutsu Kaisen 0 made the series a worldwide phenomenon.
The cosmic void
In the series, the most powerful sorcerers can expand a domain, a personal world where their technique always hits. The most famous traps its victims in an endless void of overwhelming information, drawn as a vast cosmos of stars and light. A cosmic-void rug, deep space blue and black spiraling with stars, is a stunning design for a gaming setup or a bedroom, and on a round rug, it seems to pull you in. Our round rugs come from 2.6 to 5.9 ft (80 to 180 cm) across. For more, see our space rugs.
Red, blue and purple
One of the series' most famous techniques combines a red force that repels and a blue force that attracts into a devastating burst of purple. A rug of swirling red and blue energy meeting in a blaze of violet is a striking, abstract design for a teen's room or a gaming corner with purple RGB lighting. Under a gaming chair, choose Standard, 5 mm crushed velvet on a non-slip faux leather back, about 500 g/m², which stays put and lets the wheels roll. For more, see our gaming rugs.
Shadow dogs
Megumi's first shikigami are a pair of divine dogs, one black and one white, summoned from his shadow. A rug of two dogs drawn in black and white ink, like a yin and yang, is an elegant, subtle design for a bedroom or a dorm, and a lovely piece even for someone who has never seen the show. For more, see our yin yang rugs.
Paper talismans
Jujutsu sorcery draws on Japanese traditions of spirits and charms, including paper talismans with brush-written characters. A rug of rows of talisman papers, black ink on aged cream, is a striking design for a study or an anime room. Ours use original brushwork rather than real religious charms.
Hammer and nails
Nobara fights with a hammer, nails and a straw doll, a technique based on old Japanese curse folklore. A stylized design of a hammer and nails in bold red and black is a punchy, graphic rug for a teen's room, and a nod to one of the series' most popular characters.
The temple school
The sorcerers' school sits hidden in the hills outside Tokyo, a campus of traditional wooden buildings, shrines and stone steps among the trees. A rug of temple buildings in misty mountains is a calm, beautiful design for a study or a bedroom, and a quieter way to show your love of the series. For calm Japanese-inspired designs, see our zen and spiritual rugs.
Curses born from feelings
In the story, curses form from the fear, anger and sadness people leave behind, gathering in places like schools and hospitals where strong emotions collect. That's why the sorcerers' work never ends, and why the series feels so grounded in everyday life even at its most fantastical.
A demon from old chronicles
The King of Curses takes his name from Ryōmen Sukuna, a two-faced, four-armed figure who appears in the Nihon Shoki, one of Japan's oldest historical chronicles, compiled in the 8th century. The series is full of references like this to Japanese folklore and Buddhism, from hand signs to temple architecture, which gives its world a sense of real history.
A trio of friends
The heart of the series is three first-year students who become close friends. For siblings or roommates, a trio rug, three bold color blocks or three small round rugs, each with its own symbol, is a sweet nod to their friendship.
Entryways
Just inside the front door, a small talisman or shadow-dog rug is a subtle, stylish welcome for fellow fans. Keep it indoors, out of the weather, and choose Standard for its grip on tile and wood.
Pairing with furniture
These rugs suit dark, dramatic anime rooms: black or charcoal furniture, a shelf of manga and figures, blue or purple LED lights and a few framed prints. For a calmer look, pair a temple-school rug with light wood and paper lanterns.
For older fans
Jujutsu Kaisen is a dark, intense series with frequent violence and frightening creatures. These designs are best suited to teen, college and adult rooms; the shadow dogs, the temple school and the cosmic void are the gentlest choices.
Anime bedrooms
For a fan, a cosmic-void or red-and-blue rug is a dramatic centerpiece for an anime bedroom. Pair it with dark bedding, a shelf of figures and manga volumes and a few framed prints of your own. For a softer bedroom rug, choose Premium, 7 mm plush velvet on a bamboo and cotton back, about 700 g/m². Our bedroom rugs page has more layouts.
Dorms
A shadow-dog or talisman rug brings style and personality to a dorm room. Choose Standard on hard dorm floors so it stays put.
Hallways
Down a hallway, a custom runner up to 10 ft long with a line of talisman papers, or stone temple steps rising into mist, makes a striking passage. Choose Standard, which stays put as people walk by.
Shaped rugs
A rug cut to the outline of a sitting shadow dog, or to the shape of a single talisman paper, is a fun, graphic alternative to a rectangle beside a bed or under a desk. Our shaped rugs come in sizes from 2.6×2.6 up to 5.2×5.9 ft (80×80 to 160×180 cm).
Colors
Jujutsu Kaisen-inspired designs look best in deep navy and black with electric blue, crimson and violet, plus black-and-white ink for shadow dogs and talismans.
Other anime
For more modern action anime, see our Chainsaw Man, Demon Slayer, My Hero Academia and Naruto rugs, and all our anime and manga rugs.
Gifts
A Jujutsu Kaisen-inspired rug makes a great gift for an anime fan. The cosmic void is the most dramatic; the shadow dogs are the most elegant and subtle.

Care
Machine wash on a gentle, cold cycle and let it air dry flat. Vacuum on a low setting between washes, and blot spills with cold water right away. The design is printed into the fibers, so the colors stay electric, wash after wash.
Domain Expansions
The most powerful sorcerers and curses in Jujutsu Kaisen can unleash a Domain Expansion, trapping an opponent inside a space built from their own power. Gojo's Unlimited Void floods the mind with infinite information against a cosmic backdrop. Sukuna's Malevolent Shrine raises a dark temple that cuts everything within range. Megumi's Chimera Shadow Garden turns the ground into a sea of shadows, and Hakari's Idle Death Gamble plays out like a pachinko machine, complete with flashing lights and jackpots.
Other domains are just as vivid: Jogo's volcanic Coffin of the Iron Mountain, Mahito's twisted hands in Self-Embodiment of Perfection, and Dagon's endless tropical beach. Each has a distinct color and mood, which makes them ideal for rugs.
A cosmic swirl of blues and purples suits a Gojo fan's bedroom. A dark temple silhouette with red accents is bold and dramatic for a game room. A pool of black shadows rippling across a pale floor recalls Megumi, and a burst of pachinko lights in gold and pink captures Hakari's chaotic luck. For a fan who loves the whole series, a rug divided into four domains brings their rivalry to one floor.
Gege Akutami's manga ran in Weekly Shōnen Jump from 2018 to 2024, and MAPPA's anime has brought its fights to a worldwide audience. Domain designs read as abstract art to anyone who doesn't know the story and as unmistakable signatures to anyone who does.
For fans who cosplay, a domain-inspired rug also works as a dramatic photo backdrop: stand on a cosmic swirl for Gojo, a dark temple floor for Sukuna, or a field of shadows for Megumi. The rug's velvet surface photographs well under ring lights, and it rolls up easily between shoots. In a bedroom, the same designs make a striking centerpiece, especially paired with LED lights in matching colors, purple for the Unlimited Void or red for the Malevolent Shrine.
