About Fairy Tail Rugs
A guild that's really a family
In a world full of magic, wizards join guilds to take on jobs, and one guild is famous for being the rowdiest, most destructive and most loyal of them all. A fire-breathing dragon slayer, a spirit-summoning heroine with golden keys and a blue flying cat lead a cast of friends who would fight the world for each other. Fairy Tail is one of the most beloved fantasy anime of the 2010s. A Fairy Tail-inspired rug brings its warmth and magic into a room: golden zodiac keys among the stars, a blazing fire dragon, a little blue cat with wings or a cozy guild hall. Every design is printed into soft velvet and goes in the washing machine.

The series
Fairy Tail was written and drawn by Hiro Mashima and ran in Weekly Shōnen Magazine from 2006 to 2017. Its anime adaptation, which began in 2009 and ran for hundreds of episodes, became a worldwide favorite, and a sequel, Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest, continues the adventure. Lucy, a young celestial wizard, joins the famous guild after meeting Natsu, a hot-headed boy raised by a dragon who can eat and breathe fire, and his talking blue cat, Happy. Together with an ice wizard, a fearsome armored swordswoman and many more, they take on quests, tournaments and battles to protect the guild.
The zodiac keys
Lucy summons celestial spirits with a set of keys, the most powerful of them golden keys linked to the twelve signs of the zodiac. A ring of twelve golden keys among glittering constellations is a beautiful design for a round rug, and a lovely astrology-themed piece even for someone who has never watched the show. Our round rugs come from 2.6 to 5.9 ft (80 to 180 cm) across. For more night-sky designs, see our celestial rugs.
The fire dragon
The hero was raised by a fire dragon and learned dragon magic, letting him wrap himself in flames and roar fire. A rug of a blazing dragon formed from flame on dark red or black is a dramatic design for a gaming setup or a teen's room. Under a gaming chair, choose Standard, 5 mm crushed velvet on a non-slip faux leather back, about 500 g/m², which stays put and lets the wheels roll. For more, see our gaming rugs.
A flying blue cat
The hero's best friend is a cheerful little blue cat who can sprout white wings and fly, and who loves fish more than anything else in the world. A rug of a small blue cat with white wings, or cut to his shape, is one of the cutest designs in this collection, perfect for a kid's room or a nursery. Our shaped rugs come in sizes from 2.6×2.6 up to 5.2×5.9 ft (80×80 to 160×180 cm). For more cats, see our cat rugs.
The scale scarf
The hero never takes off a white scarf with a scale pattern, a gift from the dragon who raised him. A simple rug with a white scale pattern on a warm background is a subtle, meaningful nod for fans, and a soft, graphic texture that suits almost any room.
The guild hall
The heart of the series is the guild hall, a big, noisy wooden tavern where wizards eat, drink, brawl and plan their next jobs. A cozy guild-hall rug, wooden beams, long tables and banners, is a warm design for a game room or a family den, and a perfect backdrop for board game nights. Our man cave rugs page has more ideas.
The quest board
Wizards pick jobs from a wooden board covered in pinned requests. A quest-board rug of our own, with parchment notes of your own, chores, homework or family adventures, is a fun custom design for a kid's room, turning boring daily tasks into heroic quests. Our custom rugs can print it in any size up to 5′11″ × 10′.
Ice, armor and more magic
The guild is full of wizards with very different powers: an ice wizard who builds weapons and creatures from ice, a swordswoman who swaps armor in an instant and a quiet bookworm who writes spells. A split rug of icy blue and fiery red is a fun nod to the series' most famous rivalry, perfect for siblings who argue as much as they love each other.
The creator
Hiro Mashima also created Rave Master before this series, and later Edens Zero. He is known for his cheerful, energetic art and for interacting warmly with fans online, often sharing sketches and drawings.
Board game nights
With its tavern atmosphere, a guild-hall rug is a natural fit under a game table for fantasy board games and tabletop campaigns. For more, see our Dungeons and Dragons rugs.
Friendship and family
The series' biggest theme is the bond between friends, the idea that a guild is a family that never abandons its members. For siblings or close friends, a pair of zodiac-key rugs, each with their own sign, is a sweet, personal choice.
Real zodiac signs
The twelve zodiac signs come from ancient Babylonian astronomy, which divided the sun's yearly path through the sky into twelve constellations. A zodiac rug with each sign's constellation drawn in gold lines is a fun way to find your own sign and learn a little about the night sky and its stars.
Kids' rooms
Fairy Tail is a fun, upbeat series with plenty of action, enjoyed by older kids, teens and adults. A flying blue cat or quest-board rug is a cheerful choice for a young fan. On a hard floor, choose Standard so the rug stays put. For a softer bedroom rug, choose Premium, 7 mm plush velvet on a bamboo and cotton back, about 700 g/m². Our bedroom rugs page has more layouts.
Dorms and teen rooms
A fire-dragon or scale-scarf rug brings bold personality to a dorm or a teen's room. Choose Standard on hard dorm floors.
Hallways and entryways
Down a hallway, a custom runner up to 10 ft long with a trail of golden constellations or a winding path of fire is a magical passage. Just inside the front door, a small flying-cat rug is a cheerful, magical welcome; keep it indoors, out of the weather. Choose Standard for both.
Pairing with furniture
These rugs suit warm, adventurous rooms: wooden furniture, a few banners or tapestries, a shelf of figures and manga and lamps that glow like firelight. For a celestial look, add gold accents, a star map and a few twinkling string lights.
Colors
Fairy Tail-inspired designs look best in fire red and orange, celestial gold and deep navy, sky blue for the flying cat and warm wood tones for the guild hall.

Gifts
A Fairy Tail-inspired rug makes a great gift for an anime fan or an astrology lover. The zodiac keys are the most beautiful and grown-up; the flying blue cat is the cutest of them all.

Unused rugs can be returned within 30 days on US orders; custom rugs can't be returned.
Care
Machine wash on a gentle, cold cycle and let it air dry flat. Vacuum on a low setting between washes, and blot spills with cold water right away. The design is printed into the fibers, so the gold keys stay bright and shining, wash after wash.
Tenrou Island, the Grand Magic Games and beyond
Fairy Tail's long run takes the guild through arcs that each have a look of their own. On Tenrou Island, the guild's sacred ground, a gigantic tree towers over the jungle, and the S-Class trial there leads to one of the story's most dramatic turns. In Edolas, a parallel world where magic is running out, everyone has an opposite twin, and the cats of Exceed live in a kingdom in the sky.
The Grand Magic Games bring the guilds to Crocus, the flower-filled capital of Fiore, for a tournament in a huge arena, and the final arc pits the guild against the Alvarez Empire. After the main story ended in 2017, Hiro Mashima continued with a sequel, Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest, which began in 2018 and reached television in 2024.
Each arc suggests a rug. The great Tenrou tree with its roots wrapped around an island suits a bedroom with a fantasy theme. The Crocus arena, seen from above with its tiers and flags, makes a bold design for a game room, and a floating Exceed kingdom in pastel skies is gentle enough for a younger fan's room. A map of Fiore with the guild's adventures marked on it brings the whole story to the floor.
For fans who love the guild above all, the classic designs remain the heart of the collection: Natsu's dragon fire, Lucy's celestial keys and Happy's wings. Mixing a classic design with an arc-specific one, the guild emblem in the center and Tenrou's tree in a corner, tells the story of a fan who stayed for every quest.
For younger fans just discovering the series, the 100 Years Quest designs offer a fresh start: new places, new enemies and the same guild, a perfect way to share Fairy Tail with a sibling or a friend who missed the original. Pair the rug with the guild's bright colors and a few posters, and the room feels ready for the next quest.
