About Overwatch Rugs
The world could always use more heroes
Overwatch, from Blizzard Entertainment, launched in 2016 and quickly became one of the most loved team shooters ever made. Its world is a bright, optimistic near future, where a disbanded team of heroes called Overwatch once protected the world, and its matches pit two teams of heroes, each with unique abilities, against each other on maps from London to Cairo to Rio. Overwatch 2, released in 2022, made the game free to play and moved to five-player teams.
Overwatch's characters are its heart: a huge, diverse cast with distinct looks, voices and backstories, told through animated shorts and comics. An Overwatch rug brings a favorite hero, or the whole team, into your room. Ours are printed into short velvet, so the game's bright, clean colors and sharp emblems come out crisp, and they go in the washing machine.
D.Va's bunny
D.Va, a former professional gamer who pilots a pink mech called MEKA, has one of the most recognizable emblems in gaming: a cheerful pink bunny. It appears on her suit, her mech and countless fan creations. A bunny emblem on a round rug is cute, bold and simple, perfect for a gamer's bedroom or a setup, and it looks like a sweet kawaii design to anyone who doesn't play.
Tracer and the heroes
Tracer, the time-jumping British pilot with spiky hair and goggles, was the face of the original game, and the roster has grown far beyond her:
- Tank: Reinhardt with his hammer and shield, Winston the scientist gorilla, D.Va, Zarya, Roadhog, Sigma and more.
- Damage: Tracer, Genji and Hanzo, Widowmaker, Soldier: 76, Reaper, Cassidy, Junkrat, Sojourn and more.
- Support: Mercy with her golden wings, Ana, Lúcio, Zenyatta, Moira, Kiriko, Baptiste and more.
A main hero's portrait makes the most personal Overwatch rug. Mercy, with her angelic wings, and Genji, the cyber-ninja, are especially popular for their striking silhouettes.
Role icons
Every Overwatch player has a role, and each has a simple icon: a shield for Tank, crosshairs for Damage and a cross for Support. A role-icon design is a clean, graphic rug, and a playful statement about how you play. For a team that plays together, three round rugs, one for each role, make a fun set for a shared room.
Play of the Game
At the end of every match, the game shows the Play of the Game, the most impressive moment of the round, introduced with a bold banner. Getting it is a small moment of glory. A Play of the Game design, the banner with your hero, is a celebratory rug for a setup, and through our custom rugs, it can carry your own gamertag.
The maps
| Map | Setting | Look |
|---|---|---|
| King's Row | London | Gothic streets, rain and red phone boxes |
| Hanamura | Japan | Cherry blossoms, temples and a castle |
| Ilios | Greece | White houses and Aegean blue |
| Dorado | Mexico | Festival lights and colorful streets |
| Numbani | Nigeria | A gleaming, futuristic city |
| Eichenwalde | Germany | A ruined castle in an autumn forest |
Hanamura's cherry blossoms suit a calm bedroom, while the rainy gothic streets of King's Row are better for a moody game room.
Hanamura's cherry blossoms and Ilios's white-and-blue streets make especially beautiful landscape rugs, calm enough for a living room.
Animated shorts
Blizzard told Overwatch's story largely through animated shorts, cinematic films about heroes like Tracer, Widowmaker, the Shimada brothers Hanzo and Genji, Reinhardt and Mei. Many fans consider them some of the best animation in gaming. A design inspired by a favorite short, the dragons of Hanzo and Genji or Reinhardt's memories of the Crusaders, is a meaningful choice for story fans.
The Shimada dragons
Hanzo and Genji, the estranged Shimada brothers, each command a spirit dragon, a glowing blue serpent that coils through the air when their ultimate abilities fire. Their animated short, Dragons, is one of the series' most beloved. A twin-dragon design, two blue dragons curling around each other on a dark ground, is a striking, elegant rug that suits a Japanese-inspired room as easily as a gaming setup.
Bastion and Ganymede
Bastion, a battle robot rediscovering the world, travels with a small yellow bird named Ganymede, and their quiet friendship in the short film The Last Bastion moved many players. A Bastion-and-bird design, the robot in a sunlit forest with the bird on its head, is a gentle, unexpected rug for a bedroom or a child's room.
Lúcio and the music
Lúcio, the freedom-fighting DJ from Rio de Janeiro who heals his team with music and rides walls on his skates, brings bright greens and yellows and a love of beats. A Lúcio design is a natural rug for a music corner or a dance space, and a fun one for a support main.
Mei and Snowball
Mei, the cheerful climatologist with her ice blaster and her floating robot companion, Snowball, is one of the friendliest characters in the game. Snowball, a small white-and-blue drone, makes a sweet, simple round rug, especially for a younger fan or a winter-themed room, paired with soft blue lighting and a cozy throw.
The Overwatch emblem
The organization's emblem, a bold circular insignia, appears on uniforms, buildings and banners throughout the game, the symbol of a team of heroes. On a round rug, it's a sharp, graphic design for a setup, and a nod to the game's hopeful idea that people from every corner of the world can work together.
The Omnic Crisis
Overwatch's backstory begins with the Omnic Crisis, a war between humanity and intelligent robots called omnics, which led to the founding of the Overwatch team. Some omnics later found peace as monks, like the floating, serene Zenyatta, whose orbs and meditative pose make a calm, spiritual design. Our zen and spiritual rugs share the same tranquility.
Seasonal events
Overwatch celebrates the year with seasonal events: Halloween Terror with its spooky Junkenstein story, Winter Wonderland with festive skins and snowball fights, Lunar New Year and the Summer Games. Players hunt for limited-time skins every season. A seasonal design, a Halloween hero or a snowy Mei, is a fun rug for the time of year you love most in the game.
Sprays and highlights
Players tag maps with sprays, small graphic stickers of heroes, emblems and jokes, and many collect them. A spray-style design, a favorite hero's sticker art enlarged and bold, is a playful, graphic rug for a gaming setup or a teenager's room.
Team setups
Overwatch is a team game, often played with the same group of friends for years. A shared gaming room with a rug in the team's colors, or role icons for each player, celebrates that friendship. For competitive teams or esports clubs, our custom rugs can print a team logo in any size up to 5′11″ × 10′.
Esports
From 2018 to 2023, the Overwatch League brought city-based professional teams to arenas around the world, and competitive Overwatch continues today. Fans of the competitive scene often decorate in their favorite team's colors, a rug that works like a jersey for the floor, worn proudly through every playoff and every rebuild.
A gaming setup
Under the gaming chair, choose Standard in 3.3×5 or 4×6 ft: its 5 mm crushed velvet on a non-slip faux leather back lets wheels roll freely and stays put through a tense overtime push. Pair a hero rug with RGB lighting in that hero's colors, pink for D.Va, gold for Mercy, green for Genji. If your library also holds Valorant, Apex Legends or Blizzard's World of Warcraft and Diablo, you'll find their pages too.
Colors and rooms
Overwatch's palette is bright and optimistic: clean whites, sky blues, oranges and each hero's signature colors, D.Va's pink, Mercy's gold and white, Genji's green. Bright designs suit a cheerful setup or a teenager's bedroom; map landscapes like Hanamura suit a calmer room.
Sizes and levels
D.Va's bunny, a role icon, Snowball or the Overwatch emblem suits a 3.3 to 4.6 ft (100 to 140 cm) round rug. A hero portrait, a map or a Play of the Game banner suits a rectangle, 4×6 or 5×7 ft. For a bedroom, choose Premium, 7 mm plush velvet on a bamboo and cotton back. See our gaming rugs for more.
Gifts
An Overwatch rug is a great gift for a teammate, a support main who deserves more thanks, or a friend who still loves the original game. If you aren't sure who they main, D.Va's bunny or the Overwatch emblem is the safest choice, loved by players of every role and every era of the game. Every rug is printed to order in 1–3 business days and ships from Turkey; US delivery usually takes 2–5 business days after that.
Care
Machine wash on a gentle, cold cycle and let it air dry flat. Vacuum on a low setting between washes. The design is printed into the fibers, so the colors stay as bright and optimistic as the game's future, wash after wash.
A note on the game
Overwatch 2 and five-versus-five
In 2022, Overwatch 2 replaced the original game, went free-to-play and changed matches from six players per team to five, with a single tank leading each side. New heroes and seasons followed. A rug that sets the three role icons, tank, damage and support, in a five-slot team lineup is a clever design for a squad that queues together every night.
Five slots also make it a fun rug for a group of friends who always queue as the same team.
