About Starfield Rugs
Into the starfield
Starfield, released in September 2023, was Bethesda Game Studios' first new universe in a quarter of a century, from the team behind Skyrim and Fallout. Set in the Settled Systems, a distant region of the galaxy colonised by humanity after leaving Earth, it lets players build their own ships, land on more than a thousand planets and join Constellation, the last group of explorers searching for mysterious artifacts scattered among the stars.
Its look is what its creators called NASA-punk: grounded, practical space technology, chunky switches, worn panels, stenciled numbers and bold stripes, with the feel of a real space program rather than glossy science fiction. A Starfield rug brings that look home. Ours are printed into short velvet, so star fields stay deep and black, panel lines stay crisp and the colors of a spacesuit stripe stay bright, and they go in the washing machine.
Constellation
Constellation, the explorers' society based at the Lodge in New Atlantis, is the heart of the story, and its emblem, with its sweeping arc and points of light, has become the game's best-known symbol. A Constellation rug is the simplest way to say you've been to the Settled Systems: graphic, clean and at home in any setup. On a round rug, it looks like an embroidered mission patch.
The Lodge
Constellation's headquarters in New Atlantis is a surprise in a city of glass and steel: an old, wood-panelled building full of leather armchairs, bookshelves, maps, globes and relics from centuries of exploration, more like a Victorian explorers' club than a space station. That look is a wonderful theme for a real study or library. A star chart or Constellation emblem rug on a wooden floor, a leather chair, a brass lamp and a shelf of curiosities bring the Lodge home.
NASA-punk
NASA-punk is the reason Starfield decor looks so good in real rooms. Instead of neon and chrome, it borrows from real space history: white and grey panels, rugged spacesuits, color-coded warning stripes, numbered hatches, analogue gauges and practical switches. A NASA-punk rug, a cockpit panel, a hull section with stenciled markings, a suit's chest plate, suits a modern home office or a game room with a minimalist, industrial feel. It also reads as a general space-program design to visitors who've never played.
Your ship
Starfield's ship builder became one of its most loved features: players spent hours bolting together habs, cockpits, engines and landing gear, then flying their creations across the Settled Systems. A blueprint-style rug, a ship drawn in white technical lines on navy, like an engineer's plan, is a clever, unique design for a desk area, and through our custom rugs you can print a blueprint of your own ship design.
Star charts
A star chart of the Settled Systems, Sol, Alpha Centauri, Cheyenne, Volii, Narion and the rest, connected by grav-jump routes, makes a beautiful, elegant rug: deep blue or black with fine lines and glowing points, like an astronomer's map. It suits a study, a bedroom or a home office, and it pairs naturally with our space rugs and celestial rugs.
The cities
Each of the Settled Systems' great cities has its own look:
- New Atlantis, on Jemison, the clean, white capital of the United Colonies, with its spaceport and the Lodge.
- Akila City, the walled frontier town of the Freestar Collective, dusty, independent and Western in spirit.
- Neon, a pleasure city built on an ocean platform, glowing with signs and corporate towers.
- Cydonia, a mining colony buried under the dust of Mars.
A city skyline design suits the mood of a room: New Atlantis's bright whites for a calm space, Neon's glow for a dark gaming setup with RGB lighting, Akila's warm dust for a cozy den.
Outposts and alien worlds
Beyond the cities, Starfield lets players land on barren moons, frozen worlds and alien jungles, and build outposts of their own: habs, extractors, landing pads and cargo links, homesteads on the edge of the map. A planet-surface design, a ringed gas giant rising over a rocky horizon or an outpost glowing under an alien sky, is a calm, atmospheric rug for a bedroom or living room, and a reminder of the quiet hours spent scanning flora and fauna.
Artifacts and the Starborn
At the center of Constellation's mission are the artifacts, strange metal shards that react to one another, and the ancient temples and powers they lead to. Without spoiling anything, their look, floating fragments, gravitational distortion and a pale, otherworldly glow, makes for one of the most mysterious Starfield designs, abstract enough to suit a modern living room.
Shattered Space
The 2024 expansion Shattered Space took players to the Va'ruun homeworld of Jinan and the city of Dazra, a darker, stranger corner of the Settled Systems, with a religion built around the Great Serpent. Its deep purples, golds and serpent motifs give Starfield a moodier palette that suits a dark gaming room very well.
The factions
Starfield's factions each have a distinctive emblem: the United Colonies' disciplined military insignia, the Freestar Collective's star, the Crimson Fleet's pirate skull, Ryujin Industries' corporate dragon and House Va'ruun's serpent from the Shattered Space expansion. A faction emblem on a round rug is a sharp, graphic choice, and a good way to show which side of the Colony War you'd have fought for.
The companions
Constellation's members are some of Starfield's most memorable characters: Sarah Morgan, the steady leader; Sam Coe, the Freestar cowboy, and his daughter Cora; Barrett, the endlessly cheerful philosopher; Andreja, the reserved Va'ruun; and Vasco, the loyal robot who's been with Constellation longer than anyone. A Vasco design is a fun, slightly retro robot rug for a kid's room or a workshop.
Space for kids
For children who dream of being astronauts, a Starfield-style rug, a ship, a planet, a starry chart, is a fantastic bedroom centerpiece. Pair it with glow-in-the-dark stars on the ceiling, a model rocket on the shelf and a small telescope by the window, and bedtime becomes a launch countdown. On slippery floors, choose Standard, whose non-slip faux leather back stays put during play; every rug goes in the washing machine after a spill.
A mission-control home office
Starfield's clean NASA-punk look translates surprisingly well to a working space. A rug with a cockpit-panel or blueprint design under the desk, white and grey shelving, a world clock and a print of a planet on the wall turn a home office into mission control. Under a desk chair, choose Standard in 3.3×5 or 4×6 ft: its 5 mm crushed velvet lets wheels roll freely. See our office and studio rugs for more.
Colors
Starfield's palette is mostly white, grey, navy and black, the colors of spacesuits and starry skies, with bold accents from stripes and warning markings. That restraint makes it easy to place: a navy or black rug suits almost any modern room, and a single colored stripe can be echoed in one cushion or lamp. Planet designs bring in rusty Martian reds, icy blues or jungle greens if you want more color. Whichever you choose, cool white or soft blue lighting keeps the room feeling like the inside of a well-kept ship rather than a nightclub.

Premium is 7 mm plush velvet on a bamboo and cotton back, softer and warmer for lounging. Standard is made for chairs, doors and slippery floors.
Bethesda shelves
Many Starfield players are long-time Bethesda fans. If your shelf also holds Skyrim or Fallout, a Starfield rug completes the set, and fans of other space games will find Mass Effect and Halo pages too.
Gifts
A Starfield rug is a great gift for a space fan, a ship-builder who spent more time in the editor than in combat, or a child who wants to be an astronaut. If you aren't sure which design to choose, the Constellation emblem or a star chart is the safest and most versatile choice. Every rug is printed to order in 1–3 business days and ships from Turkey; US delivery usually takes 2–5 business days after that.
Care
Vacuum on a low setting each week, blot spills with cold water straight away and wash the rug on a gentle, cold cycle when it needs it; let it air dry flat. The design is printed into the fibers, so the stars stay sharp and the blacks stay as deep as space.
A note on the game
Mission patches
Real space missions have their own embroidered patches, a tradition NASA crews started in the 1960s, with each crew helping design the emblem for its flight. Starfield's ships, factions and outposts invite the same idea. A rug designed as a round mission patch, with your own ship's name, a star and a planet in stitched-looking borders, is a fun, personal piece for a sci-fi fan's office or a space-themed bedroom.
For astronauts at heart, a patch rug also pairs well with real NASA mission patches framed on the wall, mixing fiction and history in a single space-themed corner.
Real crews choose symbols that tell the story of their mission, a habit fans can borrow for their own ship.
