About Zelda Rugs
It's dangerous to go alone
The Legend of Zelda arrived on the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1986, created by Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka, inspired in part by Miyamoto's childhood explorations of the fields, forests and caves around his home. It gave players a sword, a map and a whole world to discover, and it has been reinventing itself ever since, through Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, each one a landmark.
The story changes, but its heart doesn't: a hero named Link, a princess named Zelda, a dark king called Ganon and a golden relic of three triangles. A Zelda rug brings that adventure into your room. Ours are printed into short velvet, so the gold of the Triforce, the blues of a Hylian shield and the soft greens of Hyrule Field come out crisp, and they go in the washing machine.
The Triforce
Three golden triangles forming one: Power, Wisdom and Courage. The Triforce is the most recognizable symbol in the series and one of the most famous in all of gaming. It's made for a rug: simple, golden, perfectly geometric. On a round rug it looks like a crest; cut to its own triangular outline through our shaped rugs, it's one of the most elegant gaming rugs you can put in a room.
The Hylian crest and the Master Sword
The Hylian crest, a red bird with spread wings beneath the Triforce, appears on Link's shield and across the royal family's banners. On a deep blue ground, it makes a heraldic rug that would look at home in a castle, or a study. The Master Sword, the blade of evil's bane, resting in its stone pedestal in the Lost Woods, is just as iconic: a quiet, mystical design for a fan who remembers the first time they pulled it free.
Heart containers and rupees
Some of Zelda's best designs come straight from its interface. A row of red heart containers, some full, some half-empty, is a playful, instantly recognizable design that works brilliantly on a long rectangle by the bed or a doorway runner. Rupees, the green, blue and red gems that serve as Hyrule's money, make a bright, scattered pattern. And the treasure chest, with that unforgettable fanfare as Link holds an item overhead, is a joke every player will get.
Link and Zelda
Link has had many faces, the pixelated hero of 1986, the young and adult Link of Ocarina, the cel-shaded Toon Link of Wind Waker, the blue-tunicked Champion of Breath of the Wild, but the green tunic and pointed cap are forever. Princess Zelda has grown from a captive to a scholar, a warrior and, in Echoes of Wisdom, the hero of her own adventure. A Link and Zelda design celebrates both, and suits a fan who has followed them across decades.
Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom
For many fans today, Zelda means the open Hyrule of Breath of the Wild (2017) and Tears of the Kingdom (2023): endless fields, towering mountains, shrines, Sheikah towers and the freedom to climb anything you can see. Their look, painterly, soft and full of light, is the most decor-friendly in the series. A landscape of Hyrule Field at sunrise, with Hyrule Castle on the horizon, is one of the most beautiful gaming rugs there is, calm enough for a living room.
Sky islands and the Zonai
Tears of the Kingdom lifted Hyrule into the clouds, with sky islands of ancient Zonai ruins floating high above the land, their stone carved with swirling patterns and lit by a soft green glow. Players built flying machines, bridges and contraptions of every kind from Zonai devices with Link's new Ultrahand power. A sky-island design, ruins drifting among white clouds above a distant Hyrule, is a dreamy, airy rug for a bedroom with pale walls.
The Sheikah eye
The Sheikah eye, a stylized eye with a teardrop beneath, marks the ancient technology of Breath of the Wild: the Sheikah Slate, the shrines, the towers and the Guardians. In glowing blue or orange on dark stone, it's a striking, graphic design, especially good on a round rug in a gaming setup.
Koroks
The Koroks, tiny forest spirits with leaf masks who hide all over Hyrule, hundreds of them, each rewarding you with a seed and a cheerful little cry, are among the series' most loved creatures. A Korok design is cute, gentle and very green, perfect for a child's room, a plant-filled bedroom or a fan who spent far too long finding them all. Our botanical rugs suit the same leafy rooms.
The ocarina and Epona
Music has always been magic in Hyrule. In Ocarina of Time, Link played songs to change the weather, travel through time and call his horse: Zelda's Lullaby, the Song of Storms, Saria's Song and Epona's Song. A design of the blue ocarina among musical notes is a lovely Zelda rug for a music corner, and Epona galloping across Hyrule Field is a gentle, beautiful choice for a horse lover who also plays.
Ganon and the darker side
Every Zelda hero needs a villain. Ganondorf, the King of Evil, Calamity Ganon's swirling red malice in Breath of the Wild, and the grinning, falling moon of Majora's Mask give the series its darker images. Designs drawn from them suit a moody gaming room with red or purple lighting, and they're a favorite of players who always found the villains more interesting than the princess.
Echoes of Wisdom
In 2024, Princess Zelda finally took the lead in a game of her own. Echoes of Wisdom gave her a magical staff to copy objects and monsters, called echoes, and use them to solve puzzles and fight, all in a charming, toy-like art style. Its bright, rounded look is perfect for a younger fan's room, and a Zelda-as-hero design is a nice nod to how far the character has come.

Pixel art and retro rooms
The original 8-bit Zelda, with its tiny green Link, its top-down overworld and its four-color palette, makes a wonderful retro rug. A pixel-art design suits a retro gaming corner with an old console, a CRT and a shelf of cartridges, and pairs naturally with our arcade rugs.
Kids' rooms
Zelda is one of the best gaming themes for a child's room: adventurous but gentle, colorful but not loud. A Triforce, a row of hearts, a Korok or Link with his shield makes a cheerful play rug. On slippery floors, choose Standard, whose non-slip faux leather back stays put during play, and every rug goes in the washing machine after the inevitable spill.
A Nintendo room
A Zelda rug is a natural anchor for a Nintendo-themed room. If your shelf also holds Mario, Kirby, Metroid or Smash Bros, a Triforce rug ties the collection together. Keep the rug simple and let the figures and amiibo carry the detail.
Sizes and levels
Under a gaming chair, choose Standard in 3.3×5 or 4×6 ft: its 5 mm crushed velvet on a non-slip faux leather back lets wheels roll freely and stays put. In a bedroom or living room, choose Premium, 7 mm plush velvet on a bamboo and cotton back, in 4×6 or 5×7 ft for a Hyrule landscape. A Triforce, Hylian crest or Sheikah eye suits a 3.3 to 4.6 ft (100 to 140 cm) round rug, and a row of heart containers suits a 2×3 ft rectangle by a door.
Gifts for heroes
A Zelda rug is a gift that spans generations: a parent who played the gold NES cartridge, a teenager who climbed every tower in Breath of the Wild, a child just starting Echoes of Wisdom. If you aren't sure which game they love, the Triforce is the safest choice. Every rug is printed to order in 1–3 business days and ships from Turkey; US delivery usually takes 2–5 business days after that.
Care
Vacuum on a low setting each week, blot spills with cold water straight away and wash the rug on a gentle, cold cycle when it needs it; let it air dry flat. The design is printed into the fibers, so the Triforce stays golden.
A note on the series
A fairy in a bottle
Experienced Zelda players never leave without a fairy in a bottle, a tiny glowing helper that revives Link when his hearts run out. Empty bottles are some of the most treasured items in many games. A rug of a glass bottle with a pink fairy glowing inside, set against a deep green Hyrule field, is a sweet, insider design for any adventurer's room.

FAQ
Questions about Zelda Rugs
Which Zelda rug design should I choose?
The Triforce, the three golden triangles of Power, Wisdom and Courage. The Hylian crest and a row of heart containers are strong alternatives.
Can I get a Triforce rug cut to its triangle shape?
Yes. The Triforce's three golden triangles can be cut to their outline, from about 2.6×2.6 ft (80×80 cm) up to 5.2×5.9 ft (160×180 cm).
Which Zelda design suits a living room?
A Breath of the Wild landscape of Hyrule Field with the castle on the horizon. Its soft, painterly look reads as landscape art.
Is a Zelda rug good for a kid's room?
Very. A Triforce, heart containers, a Korok or Link with his shield makes a cheerful play rug. Choose Standard on slippery floors.
Does this page cover the older games?
Yes. It covers the whole series, from the 1986 original and Ocarina of Time to Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.
Which Zelda rug goes under a gaming chair?
Standard, in 3.3×5 or 4×6 ft. A Hyrule map from Ocarina of Time or Breath of the Wild suits a desk, and the chair wheels roll freely.
How do I wash a Zelda rug?
On a gentle cold machine cycle, then flat to dry. Hyrule greens and Triforce gold are printed into the fibers, so they don't fade after a few washes.
Is this official Zelda merchandise?
No. The Triforce, Hylian crest and Hyrule maps are fan-inspired designs; Padrift has no connection to Nintendo.
