About Monster Hunter Rugs
Hunt, carve, craft, repeat
Monster Hunter began on the PlayStation 2 in 2004, made by Capcom, with a simple and endlessly satisfying idea: track a giant monster, study it, fight it, carve materials from it and craft better weapons and armor so you can hunt something bigger. The portable games made it a sensation in Japan, where friends gathered in cafés to hunt together on their handhelds. Monster Hunter: World took it global in 2018 and became Capcom's best-selling game, followed by Rise in 2021 and Wilds in 2025.
For fans, Monster Hunter is about hundreds of hours with the same weapon, the joy of finally carving that rare gem, and nights hunting with friends. A Monster Hunter rug brings that world into your room. Ours are printed into short velvet, so scales, feathers, fur and the fine detail of monster art come out with real texture, and they go in the washing machine.
The flagship monsters
Every Monster Hunter generation has a flagship monster on its cover, and fans remember each one:
- Rathalos, the red King of the Skies, the series' most iconic wyvern, and Rathian, the green Queen of the Land.
- Tigrex, the roaring, sand-colored brute of Monster Hunter Freedom Unite.
- Zinogre, the thunder wolf crackling with electric blue.
- Nergigante, World's spiked, relentless Elder Dragon.
- Magnamalo, Rise's armored, ghostly samurai beast.
- Rey Dau, Wilds' lightning-wreathed apex.
A flagship monster on a large rectangle, wings spread, makes a dramatic centerpiece for a game room. Choose the one from the game that hooked you.
Elder Dragons
The Elder Dragons are the series' most powerful and mysterious monsters: Kirin with its lightning horn, Kushala Daora in its steel hide, Teostra wreathed in flame, Lunastra, Xeno'jiiva, Safi'jiiva, and the legendary black dragon Fatalis. Their designs are more mythical than beastly, elegant enough for a living room in the right palette. A Kirin in white and pale blue, or Kushala Daora in steel grey, is a sophisticated choice for a fan who wants a monster that looks like art.
Palicos and Palamutes
Every hunter has a companion. Palicos, the cat-like Felynes who fight beside you in their own tiny armor, are the series' beloved mascots; Rise added Palamutes, loyal hunting dogs you can ride across the map. A Palico design is cute and charming, perfect for a bedroom, a kid's room or a shared space, and it's a favorite gift for cat lovers who play. Our cat rugs and dog rugs have more pets for the room.
The Felyne kitchen
One of Monster Hunter's most loved rituals happens before every hunt: a meal. Felyne chefs chop, flip and flambé enormous dishes of meat, fish and vegetables in a frantic, joyful animation, and the hunter eats with gusto. Then there's the spit-roast, turning a steak over a fire and trying to hit the moment for a perfect well-done result. A Felyne kitchen or meat-on-the-spit design is a brilliant Monster Hunter rug for a real kitchen: playful, food-themed and a guaranteed smile from any hunter who walks in. Choose Standard there, whose non-slip back grips tile and wood.
Weapons and the weapon tree
Monster Hunter's fourteen weapon types, from the Great Sword and Long Sword to the Hunting Horn, Charge Blade, Insect Glaive and Bow, each play like a different game, and players become fiercely attached to theirs. A weapon design, your main weapon crafted from your favorite monster, says exactly what kind of hunter you are. For fans of the menu screens, a weapon tree, branches of upgrades fanning out across the rug, is a clever, graphic design for a gaming setup.
Fashion is the true endgame
Ask a veteran hunter about the real endgame and you'll hear a familiar joke: fashion. Layered armor lets players wear the look they love over the stats they need, and many spend as long designing their hunter's outfit as hunting. Armor sets have a look of their own, Rathalos's red plates, Kirin's white fur, Nargacuga's sleek black. A rug that echoes your favorite set's colors and textures is the decor equivalent of a perfect layered outfit.
Capture or slay
Every hunt ends with a choice: carve the monster where it falls, or wait for it to limp and set a trap, then throw tranquilizer bombs for a capture. Some hunters always capture, some never do, and both camps are sure they're right. A playful trap, net or tranq-bomb design is a fun nod to that debate, and a very specific joke that only hunters will get.
Monster icons
Every monster has a small, round icon in the Hunter's Notes and on the quest board, a simplified head that fans can name in an instant. A grid of monster icons, or a single favorite icon on a round rug, is one of the most graphic and recognizable Monster Hunter designs, and a fun challenge for visiting hunters: how many can you name?
Locales and the wild
Monster Hunter's environments are as memorable as its monsters: World's Ancient Forest and Coral Highlands, the Rotten Vale and the Elder's Recess; Rise's Shrine Ruins and Flooded Forest; Wilds' sweeping Windward Plains and Scarlet Forest. Each has its own colors and endemic life, small creatures and plants that make the world feel alive. A landscape design, the Coral Highlands in pastel pinks and blues or the Ancient Forest's towering canopy, is a calm, scenic rug for a living room or bedroom.
The hunting party
Monster Hunter is at its best with friends: four hunters, four weapons, one monster. Fans who hunt together often call themselves a party, a team or a guild, with in-jokes and favorite monsters of their own. A rug in a shared game room, or one with your group's own emblem through our custom rugs, celebrates every late-night hunt you've done together.
Home bases
Between hunts, players return to bases that feel like home: World's Astera, built into a shipwreck on the coast, and the snowy research base of Seliana; Rise's Kamura Village, with its tea shop, smithy and the twin sisters Hinoa and Minoto; Wilds' caravans crossing the Forbidden Lands. A home-base design, the Astera docks at sunset or Kamura's cherry trees, is a warm, peaceful Monster Hunter rug for a living room, more like a holiday memory than a battle.
The music
The series' main theme, known to fans as Proof of a Hero, has played over victories since the very first game, and few gamers can hear its horns without wanting to pick up a Great Sword. A Monster Hunter rug in a music corner or under a streaming setup is a quiet tribute to it.
Rise and the Japanese look
Monster Hunter Rise, set around the village of Kamura, draws on Japanese folklore: yokai-inspired monsters, shrines, lanterns, cherry blossoms and ninja-like hunters. Its look is softer and more traditional than World's, with deep reds, golds and ink-wash skies. A Rise-inspired design, Magnamalo against a red sky or the Kamura gate in spring, suits a Japanese-inspired or minimalist room particularly well.
Colors and rooms
Monster Hunter art covers a wide range: Rathalos's reds, Zinogre's electric blues, Nergigante's black and white, Kirin's pale silvers, the greens and browns of the forest. Choose the monster whose palette matches your room. In a dark gaming setup, an electric Zinogre with blue LED lighting is striking; in a bright living room, a Kirin or a Coral Highlands landscape keeps things light.

A Capcom shelf
Many Monster Hunter fans love Capcom's other classics too. If your shelf also holds Resident Evil, Street Fighter or Mega Man, a Monster Hunter rug is the most colorful anchor of the bunch. Browse the full range in our gaming rugs.
Gifts for hunters
A Monster Hunter rug is a great gift for the friend with a thousand hours in World, or the one who just started Wilds. If you aren't sure which monster they love, Rathalos or a Palico is the safest choice. Every rug is printed to order in 1–3 business days and ships from Turkey; US delivery usually takes 2–5 business days after that.
Care
Vacuum on a low setting each week, blot spills with cold water straight away and wash the rug on a gentle, cold cycle when it needs it; let it air dry flat. The design is printed into the fibers, so Rathalos stays red.
A note on the series
Monster Hunter Wilds
Monster Hunter Wilds, released in 2025, took the series to the Forbidden Lands, a vast region of deserts, forests and volcanic basins where weather shifts between calm and violent storms. Hunters ride a new mount, the bird-like Seikret, and the flagship monster, Arkveld, is a chained, white-scaled dragon at the center of the story.
A rug of a Seikret racing across sand dunes under a darkening sky, or Arkveld's chain-like wings coiled on dark stone, brings the newest hunt into a gaming room, alongside the classic Rathalos and Palico designs.
For players who have hunted since the earliest games, a Wilds rug beside an older Rathalos design shows the series' long journey.
