About Kingdom Come Deliverance Rugs
A blacksmith's son in 1403
Kingdom Come: Deliverance, from the Czech studio Warhorse Studios, was released in 2018 and took an unusual approach to the role-playing game: no dragons, no magic, just the real Kingdom of Bohemia in 1403, recreated with remarkable historical care. You play Henry, a blacksmith's son from the village of Skalitz, whose life is torn apart when an invading army burns his home. He sets out for revenge and slowly becomes a knight in a world of feuding lords, plague, politics and mud. Its sequel, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, released in 2025, was praised as one of the best role-playing games of the decade.
Fans love the series for its authenticity and its sense of humor, and many came away with a new interest in medieval history. A Kingdom Come rug brings that grounded medieval world into your room. Ours are printed into short velvet, so heraldic colors, parchment textures and the fine linework of manuscript art come out crisp, and they go in the washing machine.
Henry and Hans
The heart of the series is a friendship: Henry, the stubborn, decent commoner, and Sir Hans Capon, the vain, reckless young lord who keeps getting them both into trouble. Their banter, their adventures and their slowly growing respect for one another are what players remember. A Henry and Hans design, the two on horseback on a Bohemian road, is the signature Kingdom Come rug, and a lovely gift for a pair of friends who played together.
Pebbles and Mutt
Henry's companions include a horse and a dog. Pebbles, his trusty mount, carries him across Bohemia, and Mutt, a loyal dog who joins him in the sequel, can track, fight and fetch. Players grew very attached to both. A design of Henry with his horse and dog on a country road is a warm, gentle rug for a family room, and our dog rugs have more faithful companions.
Learning to read
One of the series' most charming details is that Henry can't read at the start. He has to learn from a scribe, and until he does, the words in books are a jumble. It's a small, telling piece of history, and fans love it. A design of an open book with half-scrambled letters is a clever inside joke for a reading nook.
Medieval heraldry
Coats of arms were everywhere in medieval Bohemia, on shields, banners, seals and tabards, each a family's identity. The series is full of them, carefully drawn. A heraldic rug, a shield with its charges and colors, or a row of banners, is one of the most elegant designs in this collection: it reads as authentic medieval decor to anyone, and it suits a study, a hallway or a living room with dark wood. Through our custom rugs, you can even print your own family crest in any size up to 5′11″ × 10′.
Illuminated manuscripts
The games' menus, codex and loading screens borrow the look of medieval illuminated manuscripts: hand-lettered text, decorated initials, gold leaf and the strange, funny little figures that monks drew in the margins. A manuscript-style rug, a decorated page with a historiated initial and marginal doodles, is a beautiful, scholarly design, perfect for a library or a reading corner, and a quiet joke for anyone who knows the game's humor.
Maps of Bohemia
Both games are played on hand-drawn maps of the Bohemian countryside, with villages, rivers, forests, castles and monasteries drawn in the style of an old chart. A parchment-map design is one of the most versatile Kingdom Come rugs: it looks like an antique map to visitors, it suits a study or a hallway, and it's a reminder of hundreds of hours on the road. Our world map rugs share the same love of old charts.
Castles and towns
| Place | Game | Look |
|---|---|---|
| Skalitz | Kingdom Come: Deliverance | Henry's home village and its silver mine |
| Rattay | Kingdom Come: Deliverance | A market town with a castle on the river |
| Trosky Castle | Kingdom Come: Deliverance II | Twin towers on two volcanic peaks |
| Kuttenberg | Kingdom Come: Deliverance II | A rich silver-mining city with a great cathedral |
Trosky, with its two towers rising from twin hilltops, is one of the most striking real castles in Europe, and it makes a dramatic rug design. Kuttenberg, the real Kutná Hora, with its Gothic cathedral and narrow streets, is a richer, busier scene.
Saviour Schnapps
In the original game, saving outside of bed or certain events requires drinking a bottle of Saviour Schnapps, a potion that became a running joke among players. Brewing it by hand, step by step at an alchemy bench, is a ritual of its own. A Saviour Schnapps design, the little bottle with its label in manuscript style, is a funny, affectionate rug for a home bar or a kitchen corner.
Alchemy and herbs
Henry gathers herbs, nettle, sage, belladonna, chamomile, and brews potions at alchemy benches by following real-looking recipes in an old book, grinding, boiling and counting by hourglass. A herbal design, botanical illustrations of the game's herbs with their names in manuscript script, is a lovely rug for a kitchen, a garden room or anyone who loves old herbals. Our botanical rugs share the same look.
The dice game
In taverns across Bohemia, Henry can gamble at dice, a game of risk and luck with special weighted dice and badges that bend the rules. Players lost hours, and plenty of groschen, to it. A dice design, carved bone dice on a wooden table with a scatter of medieval coins, is a fun rug for a games room or under a card table.
The blacksmith's forge
Henry begins as a blacksmith's son, and he can still sharpen blades on a grindstone and forge swords at an anvil. The forge, with its glowing coals, hammers and tongs, is a warm, honest image. A forge design is a fitting rug for a workshop, a garage or a craftsperson's studio.
Combat and armor
The series' combat is famously demanding, with real swordsmanship, directional attacks, ripostes and layers of armor, gambeson, mail and plate, that must be maintained and repaired. A design of a knight in full plate, or a sword and shield on a heraldic ground, is a strong, classic medieval rug for a man cave or a study.
For history lovers
Kingdom Come is set during real events, the conflict between King Wenceslas IV and his half-brother Sigismund, and many of its characters were real people. Players often finish the game wanting to read about the period. A Kingdom Come rug in a study, surrounded by history books and a framed map, is decor that celebrates that curiosity. Fans of historical games will also like our Assassin's Creed rugs.
Real places, real landscapes
Warhorse built its Bohemia from real places, the rolling hills, forests and villages of the Sázava region and around Kutná Hora, studying castles and maps of the period. Many players have visited the real Trosky and Kutná Hora after finishing the games. A landscape design inspired by that countryside is a calm, pastoral rug that works in almost any room.
A medieval room
Kingdom Come's look suits a medieval or rustic room: dark wood, wrought iron, leather, linen, candles and a few earthenware pots. A heraldic or map rug ties it together. Keep the palette earthy, deep red, forest green, ochre and cream, and let one strong piece, a banner or a shield, hang on the wall.
A gaming setup
Under the gaming chair, choose Standard in 3.3×5 or 4×6 ft: its 5 mm crushed velvet on a non-slip faux leather back lets wheels roll freely and stays put. If your shelf also holds The Witcher or Skyrim, a Kingdom Come rug sits naturally among them, the grounded, historical cousin. Browse more in our gaming rugs.
Sizes and levels
A heraldic shield suits a 3.3 to 4.6 ft (100 to 140 cm) round rug, or a shield shape through our shaped rugs. A map or a manuscript page suits a rectangle, 4×6 or 5×7 ft. A Saviour Schnapps or herb design suits a 2×3 ft rug by a bar or in a kitchen. For a living room, choose Premium, 7 mm plush velvet on a bamboo and cotton back.
Gifts
A Kingdom Come rug is a great gift for a history lover, a medieval re-enactor or a friend who finally mastered the combat. If you aren't sure which design to choose, a parchment map of Bohemia or a heraldic shield is the safest. Every rug is printed to order in 1–3 business days and ships from Turkey; US delivery usually takes 2–5 business days after that.
Care
Machine wash on a gentle, cold cycle and let it air dry flat. Vacuum on a low setting between washes. The design is printed into the fibers, so the heraldry stays bright, no Saviour Schnapps required.
A note on the series
Kuttenberg and its silver
The sequel, released in 2025, takes Henry to Kuttenberg, the real town now called Kutná Hora, which grew rich from silver mines in the Middle Ages. Its mint struck the Prague groschen, one of Central Europe's most important coins, and nearby Sedlec is famous for its bone-decorated ossuary. A rug of a silver groschen, or a medieval mining scene in stone and silver tones, suits a history lover's study.
History fans can pair it with real coin replicas.
Visitors to Kutná Hora can still tour the old mint at the Italian Court, which suits a history lover's souvenir rug.

FAQ
Questions about Kingdom Come Deliverance Rugs
Which Kingdom Come design makes the best rug?
Henry and Sir Hans Capon on horseback, and a parchment map of Bohemia. Heraldic shields are the most elegant choice.
Can I print my own family crest?
Yes. Custom rugs can print any coat of arms or crest, in any size up to 5′11″ × 10′, or cut to a shield shape.
Which Kingdom Come design suits a study?
An illuminated-manuscript page or a parchment map. Both look like authentic medieval pieces to visitors.
What is Saviour Schnapps?
The potion used to save the game outside of bed in the first Kingdom Come. It became a running joke and makes a fun bar or kitchen rug.
Does this page cover Kingdom Come: Deliverance II?
Yes. It covers both games, including Trosky Castle and the city of Kuttenberg from the sequel.
Which Kingdom Come rug goes under a gaming chair?
Standard, in 3.3×5 or 4×6 ft. A parchment map of Rattay or Kuttenberg sits flat on its faux leather back under the desk, so the chair rolls freely across Bohemia.
How do I wash a Kingdom Come rug?
Gentle cold cycle, then dry it flat. The parchment and heraldic colors of medieval Bohemia are printed into the fibers.
Is this official Kingdom Come merchandise?
No. Henry, Hans and the heraldic designs are our own, inspired by the games; Padrift isn't affiliated with Warhorse Studios, Deep Silver or Plaion.
