About Ghost of Tsushima Rugs
The wind will guide you
Ghost of Tsushima, from Sucker Punch Productions, was released in 2020 and quickly became one of the most beautiful games ever made. It's set in 1274, during the first Mongol invasion of Japan, on the island of Tsushima. Jin Sakai, a young samurai who survives the slaughter of his clan on the beach, must choose between the code of honor he was raised with and the dishonorable tactics he needs to save his people, becoming the Ghost. Its sequel, Ghost of Yōtei, took the series to the far north of Japan in 2025.
Players remember Tsushima for its landscapes as much as its story: swaying fields of grass, forests of gold and crimson leaves, windswept cliffs and quiet shrines. A Ghost of Tsushima rug brings that serene beauty into your home. Ours are printed into short velvet, so rich autumn colors, soft gradients and ink-like detail come out beautifully, and they go in the washing machine.
Jin Sakai and the Ghost
Jin begins as a samurai in his uncle's service, in lacquered armor, and becomes the Ghost, a hooded figure in a dark cloak with a fearsome mask. The tension between those two identities is the heart of the story. A Jin design, standing with his katana in a field at sunset, is the signature Ghost of Tsushima rug, and the Ghost's mask on a round rug is a striking, graphic alternative.
Fields and flowers
Tsushima's open fields are its signature: endless pampas grass in silver and gold, white flowers, purple irises, and fields of red spider lilies so vivid they seem to glow. The wind ripples through them as you ride. A field design, golden grass or crimson lilies under a soft sky, is one of the most beautiful nature rugs any game has inspired. It suits a living room or bedroom as easily as a game room, and reads as fine landscape art.
The guiding wind
Instead of a map marker, Ghost of Tsushima uses the wind: swipe the controller and a breeze blows through the grass and leaves toward your destination. It's one of the most elegant ideas in game design. A design of wind sweeping through grass and falling leaves captures that feeling, a quiet, moving rug for a calm room.
Foxes and shrines
Throughout the island, wild foxes appear and lead Jin to hidden Inari shrines, where he can pet the fox before praying. Players went out of their way to follow every one. A fox design, a red fox among white flowers or leading the way to a shrine, is a lovely, gentle rug, perfect for a bedroom or a child's room. Our fox rugs have more foxes for animal lovers.
Kurosawa Mode
Ghost of Tsushima was made as a tribute to classic Japanese samurai cinema, and it includes a Kurosawa Mode, named after the director Akira Kurosawa, which turns the whole game black and white with film grain, wind and rain. A black-and-white design, a lone samurai on a windswept hill in high-contrast monochrome, is one of the most stylish gaming rugs there is, and it suits a modern, minimalist room perfectly.
Haiku and quiet moments
Between battles, Jin can sit and compose haiku at scenic spots, choosing lines about the view as the camera lingers on the landscape. He can bathe in hot springs and reflect, practice cutting bamboo and play the flute. These quiet moments are what many players love most. A haiku-inspired design, a calm landscape with a few brushstroke characters, is a peaceful, meditative rug for a reading nook or a zen corner. Our zen and spiritual rugs share the same calm.
Duels and standoffs
Ghost of Tsushima's duels, one-on-one fights in fields of grass or among falling leaves, framed like scenes from a film, are some of its most dramatic moments, and standoffs, where Jin faces a group of enemies and waits for the first to strike, are pure samurai cinema. A duel design, two figures facing each other in a field of red leaves, is a cinematic rug for a game room or a home theater.
Allies and enemies
Jin isn't alone. Yuna, the sharp-witted thief who pulls him from the beach; Sensei Ishikawa, the master archer; Lady Masako, seeking vengeance for her family; Kenji, the hapless sake merchant; and Lord Shimura, Jin's uncle and the embodiment of the samurai code, all shape his journey. Against them stands Khotun Khan, the cunning Mongol general. A design of Jin with his allies, or his uncle's lacquered armor, is a meaningful choice for fans of the story.
Armor and dyes
Players spend hours choosing Jin's armor, helmet, mask and dye colors, from the Sakai clan's traditional armor to the Ghost's dark cloak and the flowing robes of a wandering ronin. A favorite armor set, drawn in detail, makes a striking rug, and its colors can be matched to a room's palette, gold for a bright space, black and red for a dramatic one.
Photo mode
Ghost of Tsushima's photo mode, with its wind, petals, filters and depth of field, inspired players to take millions of screenshots of their favorite views. If you have a picture you love, our custom rugs can print it in any size up to 5′11″ × 10′, turning your own photo of Tsushima into the floor of your room.
The seasons of Tsushima
| Region | Look | Room it suits |
|---|---|---|
| Izuhara | Golden fields, white flowers, coastal cliffs | A bright living room |
| Toyotama | Red maples, temples, crimson forests | A warm bedroom or study |
| Kamiagata | Snow, mountains, frozen lakes | A cool, minimalist room |
| Iki Island | Wild, windswept, shamanic | A moody den |
Kamiagata's snowy north suits a cool, minimalist room, the opposite of Iki Island's moody den.
Hot springs and bamboo
Some of Jin's quietest moments happen in steaming hot springs tucked among the rocks, and in groves where he practices cutting bamboo with perfect timing. Both make lovely, calm designs: a spring surrounded by maple leaves, or tall green bamboo stalks swaying in the wind, perfect for a quiet bedroom, a yoga space or a meditation corner where you go to slow down and breathe.
Japanese-inspired homes
Ghost of Tsushima's look is a natural fit for Japanese and Japandi-style interiors: low wooden furniture, paper lamps, linen, a bonsai or ikebana arrangement and plenty of empty space. A field or maple-forest rug, or a monochrome samurai design, sits comfortably in that kind of room. Keep the palette natural, wood, cream, charcoal, with one strong color from the rug, gold, red or green.
Ghost of Yōtei
The 2025 sequel, Ghost of Yōtei, moved more than three centuries later, to 1603 and the land around Mount Yōtei in Ezo, today's Hokkaido, following a new hero, Atsu, on a quest for revenge. Its snowy volcano, wide open plains and wildflowers give the series a fresh, northern palette, and a Mount Yōtei landscape makes a striking, serene rug.
Legends
The cooperative Legends mode reimagined Tsushima through Japanese myth, with players as samurai, hunters, ronin and assassins fighting demons and spirits. Its bold, supernatural style, oni, glowing spirits and painted masks, is a dramatic alternative for players who loved playing with friends.
A PlayStation room
Ghost of Tsushima is one of PlayStation's most celebrated games. If your shelf also holds God of War or The Last of Us, it sits naturally among them, and fans of historical action will like our Assassin's Creed rugs. Under a gaming chair, choose Standard in 3.3×5 or 4×6 ft: its 5 mm crushed velvet on a non-slip faux leather back lets wheels roll freely.
Colors and rooms
Ghost of Tsushima's palette is the palette of a Japanese autumn: gold, crimson, deep green, cream and charcoal, with the silver of pampas grass and the white of snow. It's warm, natural and easy to live with. A black-and-white Kurosawa design is the most versatile for a modern room.
Sizes and levels
The Ghost's mask or a fox suits a 3.3 to 4.6 ft (100 to 140 cm) round rug. A field, a forest or a duel suits a rectangle, 4×6 or 5×7 ft. For a living room or bedroom, choose Premium, 7 mm plush velvet on a bamboo and cotton back, which is softer and warmer.
Gifts
A Ghost of Tsushima rug is a thoughtful gift for a PlayStation fan, a lover of samurai films or anyone who appreciates Japanese design. If you aren't sure which design to choose, a field of golden grass or a fox is the safest. Every rug is printed to order in 1–3 business days and ships from Turkey; US delivery usually takes 2–5 business days after that.
Care
Machine wash on a gentle, cold cycle and let it air dry flat. Vacuum on a low setting between washes. The design is printed into the fibers, so the autumn colors stay rich season after season.
A note on the game
The 1274 invasion
The game is fiction, but its starting point is real. In 1274, a Mongol fleet sent by Kublai Khan landed on Tsushima, the island between Korea and Japan, at the start of the first Mongol invasion of Japan. The defenders on the island were vastly outnumbered. A rug of a fleet of ships on a gray sea, or a lone samurai facing an army on the beach at Komoda, nods to that history as well as to the opening of the game.
