About Assassin's Creed Rugs

A secret war across history

Assassin's Creed arrived from Ubisoft in 2007 with an idea that has carried it through history ever since. Using a machine called the Animus, a modern-day descendant relives the memories of an ancestor, a member of the Assassin Brotherhood fighting a secret war against the Templars across the centuries. The first game took players to the Holy Land during the Third Crusade; later ones went to Renaissance Italy, the American Revolution, the Golden Age of Piracy, revolutionary Paris, Victorian London, ancient Egypt and Greece, Viking England, Abbasid Baghdad and feudal Japan.

That makes Assassin's Creed something unusual: a game series beloved by history fans as much as gamers. An Assassin's Creed rug can bring a whole era into your room. Ours are printed into short velvet, so stone rooftops, rich fabrics and the fine detail of maps and insignia come out crisp, and they go in the washing machine.

The insignia

The Brotherhood's insignia, a stylized sharp-edged emblem echoing an eagle's head, appears in every game, carved into hideouts, stitched on robes and engraved on hidden blades. It's one of the most recognizable symbols in gaming. On a round rug, it's bold, graphic and timeless, and it suits a study or a doorway as well as a game room.

The Leap of Faith

Every Assassin's Creed game has the same signature move: climb to the highest viewpoint, watch an eagle circle, and leap into a haystack far below. The Leap of Faith, a hooded figure diving from a tower with arms spread against the sky, is the series' most famous image. A Leap of Faith rug is dramatic and cinematic, perfect for a game room or a teenager's bedroom.

Many fans pick the setting of the first game they finished, so ask which era they played before you choose one as a gift.

Choose the era you love most; its palette will guide the rest of the room.

Ezio

Ezio Auditore da Firenze, whose life players followed from a young nobleman in Florence to an aging master in Constantinople across three games, is the series' most beloved hero. His Italy, the rooftops of Florence, the canals of Venice, the Colosseum in Rome, with Leonardo da Vinci as a friend and inventor, is one of the most romantic settings in gaming. An Ezio design or a Renaissance city scene in warm terracotta and gold is a natural fit for a study or a living room.

Black Flag

Black Flag set the series on the open sea, with Edward Kenway's ship, the Jackdaw, sailing between Caribbean islands, sea shanties sung by the crew and naval battles in storms. It's many fans' favorite game in the series. A Black Flag design, a ship under full sail on turquoise water, or a pirate map of the islands, is a bright, adventurous rug for a coastal room, a kid's room or a home bar.

Maps of the old world

Assassin's Creed games are full of historical maps, and a city map makes one of the most elegant rugs in the collection: Renaissance Florence, Venice's canals, revolutionary Paris, Victorian London or ancient Alexandria, drawn like an antique chart with landmarks and parchment tones. It reads as a beautiful historical map to anyone, and as a game memory to fans. Our world map rugs share the same love of old charts.

The hidden blade

The hidden blade, a blade strapped to the wrist beneath the sleeve, is the Assassins' signature weapon, and its design changed with each era and hero. A hidden-blade silhouette on a dark rug is a sleek, graphic design, at home in a minimalist room.

The Animus

Every journey into the past happens through the Animus, and its look, white space, glowing blue lines and glitching memories, gives the series a science-fiction side. An Animus-inspired design, a white-and-blue digital grid with fragments of history appearing through it, is a striking, modern rug that suits a minimal white room or a futuristic gaming setup.

Pieces of Eden

Behind the Assassins and Templars lies an older mystery: the Isu, a precursor civilization, and the Pieces of Eden they left behind, most famously the Apple of Eden, a golden orb etched with glowing lines. Their temples, glyphs and golden geometry give the series a mystical, almost sacred visual language. A Piece of Eden design, a golden sphere on a dark ground surrounded by faint glowing patterns, is one of the most beautiful and mysterious rugs a fan can choose.

Templars and Abstergo

Every hero needs an enemy, and the Templar Order has been the Brotherhood's for a thousand years. Its red cross on white, and its modern face, the gleaming corporation Abstergo Industries, are as recognizable to fans as the Assassin insignia. A split design, the Brotherhood's emblem on one side and the Templar cross on the other, is a fun choice for two friends who always argue about which side is right.

Desmond and the modern day

For the first five games, the story followed Desmond Miles, a bartender kidnapped into the Animus who slowly becomes an Assassin himself. Later games followed Layla Hassan and others. Fans of the modern-day story, its hideouts, its conspiracies and its unanswered questions, often prefer designs that blend the present and the past, like a modern figure standing beside an ancestor's silhouette.

Paris and London

Unity recreated revolutionary Paris in remarkable detail, including a celebrated interior of Notre-Dame that drew renewed attention after the cathedral's 2019 fire. Syndicate's Victorian London, with its steam trains, factories and gaslit streets, is a smoky, atmospheric counterpart. Either city makes an elegant rug in grey, slate and gold for a study or hallway.

Eagles and viewpoints

Every Assassin climbs to viewpoints to survey the city, and an eagle circles overhead, Senu in Origins and Ikaros in Odyssey even becoming companions you can control. An eagle in flight above a historic skyline is one of the most elegant designs in the series, and it suits a living room as easily as a game room.

For history lovers

Many players discovered real history through Assassin's Creed: the Crusades, the Medici, the Borgia, the founding of the United States, the Golden Age of Piracy. Several games added educational Discovery Tour modes that let players explore ancient Egypt, Greece and the Viking Age without combat. An Assassin's Creed rug in a study, surrounded by history books and maps, is decor that celebrates that curiosity.

Shadows and feudal Japan

Assassin's Creed Shadows, released in 2025, finally took the series to feudal Japan, with two heroes: Naoe, a shinobi, and Yasuke, a samurai inspired by the real African warrior who served Oda Nobunaga. Its seasons, cherry blossoms, summer green, autumn maples and winter snow, change the whole map. A Shadows design in ink-wash style, or a castle under cherry blossoms, is an elegant choice for a Japanese-inspired room.

A game room

Under the gaming chair, choose Standard in 3.3×5 or 4×6 ft: its 5 mm crushed velvet on a non-slip faux leather back lets wheels roll freely and stays put. If your shelf also holds Ghost of Tsushima or God of War, an Assassin's Creed rug fits right in with other historical adventures. See our gaming rugs for more.

Custom crests

Some fans design their own Brotherhood crest or ancestor portrait. Our custom rugs print your artwork in any size up to 5′11″ × 10′.

Sizes and levels

The insignia suits a 3.3 to 4.6 ft (100 to 140 cm) round rug. A Leap of Faith or a city map suits a rectangle, 4×6 or 5×7 ft. In a living room or study, choose Premium, 7 mm plush velvet on a bamboo and cotton back, which feels warmer and heavier underfoot.

Gifts

An Assassin's Creed rug is a great gift for a long-time fan or a history buff who games. If you aren't sure which era they love, the insignia is the safest choice, because it appears in every single game. Every rug is printed to order in 1–3 business days and ships from Turkey; US delivery usually takes 2–5 business days after that.

Care

Machine wash on a gentle, cold cycle and let it air dry flat. Vacuum on a low setting between washes. The design is printed into the fibers, so the colors stay rich.

A note on the series

Ravens and the Round City

Valhalla took the series to ninth-century England with the Viking raider Eivor, whose raven companion scouts the land from above. A raven in flight over a longship, or Norse knotwork in black and silver, suits a study or a game room. Mirage then went to ninth-century Baghdad, the Round City, with its domes, markets and geometric tilework, a rich source for a rug of interlacing stars in turquoise, gold and deep blue. Both bring a quieter, historical look to a setup that doesn't want a bold logo.

FAQ

Questions about Assassin's Creed Rugs

What's the most iconic Assassin's Creed rug design?

The Brotherhood's insignia on a round rug, and the Leap of Faith. Ezio's Italy and Black Flag's Caribbean make rich scene designs.

Which Assassin's Creed design suits a study?

An antique-style city map of Florence, Venice, Paris or London, or an eagle above a historic skyline. Both read as historical art.

Does this page cover the newer Assassin's Creed games?

Yes. It covers the whole series, from the first game and Ezio's trilogy to Origins, Odyssey, Valhalla, Mirage and Shadows.

Is there a design for a coastal or pirate-themed room?

A Black Flag design with a ship under full sail on turquoise water, or a pirate map of the Caribbean islands.

Which Assassin's Creed rug goes under a gaming chair?

Standard in 3.3×5 or 4×6 ft. Lay a parchment map of Renaissance Florence or the 1715 Caribbean under the desk; the faux leather back keeps it from creeping while the chair rolls.

Can I get the insignia cut to its shape?

Yes. The Brotherhood's insignia can be cut along its own outline, from a 2.6×2.6 ft (80×80 cm) doorway piece to a 5.2×5.9 ft (160×180 cm) centerpiece.

How do I wash an Assassin's Creed rug?

Gentle cold machine wash, then dry it flat. Historic maps and parchment tones are printed into the fibers, so the details survive every wash.

Is this official Assassin's Creed merchandise?

No. Our era maps and landscapes are original designs; Padrift isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Ubisoft.
