About this design
A red stag with a full rack of antlers stands on the right of this Winter Stag Holly MTG playmat, looking back toward a white hare sitting upright in the snow. Two robins share a holly branch on the left. Snow lies thick on every fir bough.
Cool grey-green and white set the mood, with holly berries and the robins' breasts adding bright red points across the top half. Because the stag stands off to one side, the center of the board stays open for creatures and lands.
Mistletoe hangs from the middle branches. Hellebores and snowdrops push up through the frost at ground level, and pine cones are scattered everywhere you look. A fine gold outline runs around the stag and the hare, lifting both animals off the dense background in the same way metallic thread works on an old wall hanging. Snow is painted in thick, dabbed strokes on every needle and fern, which gives the surface a tactile, almost knitted quality.
Size is the familiar 24 x 14 in (61.5 x 35.5 cm) standard tournament format. Sleeved cards move smoothly over the micro-fiber top. Thanks to a non-slip rubber base, it stays steady through long Commander games. Dye-sublimation printing sets the color inside the fabric, so the whites stay crisp and the reds do not fade.
