About this design
A white hare sleeps curled up in the center of this hare MTG playmat, long ears folded back, surrounded by winter. Red holly berries, white mistletoe, blue pine sprigs, pinecones, Christmas roses and tiny snowflakes spread out from it in a mirrored pattern on deep navy.
Navy, sage, frosty blue, cream and holly red make a cool, festive palette. The hare is the brightest shape on the mat, sitting right in the middle. The dark navy ground gives your cards strong contrast in every zone.
Painted in a William Morris inspired style, with leafy scrolls and fine gold lines on many leaves. The hare's fur is drawn in delicate white and grey strokes, so it looks soft enough to touch. It is the winter piece of our sleeping animal tapestry series, quiet and wintry without being cold.
Size is 24 x 14 in (61.5 x 35.5 cm), standard tournament size. Cards slide and lift clean off the micro-fiber top, sleeved or not. A non-slip rubber base keeps the mat locked in place through long Commander nights. We print with dye-sublimation, so the blues are set into the fabric and will not crack or fade. Stitched edges keep the border neat and stop fraying, even after years of rolling it into a bag for tournament weekends.
