A huge green frog peers out of a churning sea of red-irised eyeballs on this Frog Eyeball Sea MTG playmat, its own two eyes bulging larger than everything around it. Pink clouds pile up behind it against a black night sky. Blue waves curl through the gaps between hundreds of staring eyes.
Busy is the honest word. Red, white and turquoise clash on purpose, and the frog's face sits dead center, so anyone walking past your table will stop and look. A dark sky band along the top gives you a quieter strip for a life counter or dice.
The Art: Surreal Ink and Watercolor
Hand-inked linework defines every eyeball, with fine hatching on the shadowed side and soft watercolor washes for the pink veins. The waves borrow the spiral curls of Japanese woodblock water. A thin gold line traces the frog's head, separating it from the crowd. It is funny and unsettling in equal measure, closer to a fever dream than a fantasy landscape, and that is exactly the appeal for players who want a mat nobody else at the LGS owns.
Frog Eyeball Sea at the Table
Size is 24 x 14 in (61.5 x 35.5 cm), the standard tournament footprint. Sleeved cards slide easily over the micro-fiber top and lift without catching. A non-slip rubber base keeps the mat from drifting during shuffles. We use dye-sublimation printing, so all those saturated reds stay bright and will not crack or peel. More designs live in our Magic the Gathering playmats, led by the frog playmat. Players of other games can browse all our TCG playmats.
With Zones or Without Zones
Zoned versions add light outlines for library, graveyard, exile, the command zone and battlefield lanes for lands and creatures, useful for Commander/EDH and 60-card formats alike. Without Zones lets the eyeball sea run wall to wall. Given how loud this design is, many players find the zoned version easier to read mid-game.
