A green-and-red sea dragon coils through crashing waves across this Sea Dragon Ukiyo-e MTG playmat, claws out and jaws wide open. Armored fish samurai ride the swell with spears, one mounted on a sea turtle and another fighting beside a crab warrior. A giant red octopus grips the lower left, and an undersea palace glows behind the dragon's head.
Navy and foam-white waves cover most of the surface, with the dragon's coral belly and the octopus adding warm red. It is a busy battle scene. Even so, the wave pattern is regular enough that cards laid over it stay easy to read.
The Art: Hokusai Waves and Armor
Those clawed foam crests come straight from the Hokusai tradition of Edo-period woodblock prints. Scales on the dragon are drawn one by one in alternating green tones, and its whiskers trail off into a curl of pale smoke. Look closely at the fish samurai: lacquered armor plates, tied cords, even small gold details on the turtle's harness. Coral branches and a school of tiny fish fill the palace corner, giving that side of the mat a quieter, deeper-water feel.
Sea Dragon at the Table
At 24 x 14 in (61.5 x 35.5 cm), it follows standard tournament size for any format. A micro-fiber surface keeps cards gliding and easy to pick up. The non-slip rubber base holds firmly on store tables. Every color is dye-sublimated into the fabric, so the blues stay deep and the foam stays bright over years of play. It belongs to our MTG play mats line, and our flagship MTG dragon playmat carries the same theme in another scene. Players of other games can browse all our TCG playmats.
With Zones or Without Zones
Pick With Zones for light guides covering library, graveyard, exile, the command zone and battlefield lanes, so it doubles as an MTG commander playmat and handles 60-card decks too. Without Zones gives you the full sea battle with nothing on top. Same print quality either way.
