About this design
A quiet pond in the manner of Monet's famous water garden. This water lily MTG playmat shows pink and white water lilies resting on round pads, scattered across water that mirrors a pale blue sky and soft pink clouds. Willow branches hang down from the top right, their reflections streaking the surface.
Sky blue, sage, soft pink and willow green make a gentle, airy palette. The open reflected sky on the left gives your battlefield a calm space, while lily clusters fill the corners. Everything feels light and still.
Painted with thick, broken impressionist brushstrokes, the way Monet built light and water. Lily pads have flecks of pink and gold along their edges. It is an homage to his late water lily series rather than a copy, peaceful and endlessly soft.
Size is 24 x 14 in (61.5 x 35.5 cm), standard tournament size. Cards slide and lift clean off the micro-fiber top, sleeved or not. A non-slip rubber base keeps the mat locked in place through long Commander nights. We print with dye-sublimation, so the blues and pinks are set into the fabric and will not crack or fade. Stitched edges keep the border neat and stop fraying, even after years of rolling it into a bag for tournament weekends.
