About this design
A spotted fawn sleeps curled up in the very center of this fawn MTG playmat, surrounded by an ornate autumn tapestry. Oak and maple leaves, acorns, blackberries, rose hips, little red mushrooms, ferns and tiny white flowers spread out from it in a mirrored pattern, like an embroidered heirloom.
Chocolate brown, rust, olive and gold make a rich, warm palette. The fawn sits right at the heart of the mat, and the symmetrical design frames it on every side. Cards rest well on the darker background between motifs.
It looks like a fine embroidered textile in the William Morris tradition, with stitched textures on every leaf and thin gold thread outlines. The fawn's coat has soft white spots and a velvety feel. Peaceful, ornate and full of autumn. Little white blossoms sit between the leaves like stars.
Size is 24 x 14 in (61.5 x 35.5 cm), standard tournament size. Cards slide and lift clean off the micro-fiber top, sleeved or not. A non-slip rubber base keeps the mat locked in place through long Commander nights. We print with dye-sublimation, so the browns and golds are set into the fabric and will not crack or fade.
