About Honkai Star Rail Mouse Pads
Honkai: Star Rail mouse pads for the desk
These Honkai: Star Rail mouse pads and desk mats carry art inspired by HoYoverse's space fantasy, printed in high resolution right to the edges of a 3 mm neoprene pad with a fabric top, a non-slip base and stitched borders that keep the edges from fraying. The range runs across eight sizes, from an 11.8″ × 15.7″ (30 × 40 cm) pad for the mouse to a 23.6″ × 47.2″ (60 × 120 cm) mat that covers the desk. The product page of each design tells you which of them it comes in, and your pad is printed only after you order it.
Honkai: Star Rail launched on April 26, 2023, on PC, iOS and Android, and arrived on the PlayStation 5 that October. It is a turn-based role-playing game about a train that travels between worlds, and every stop on its route has a color scheme of its own, from frozen white streets to jade rooftops and violet dreamscapes. That range makes it easy to match a design to the desk it will live on.
A train is a horizontal subject
The Astral Express runs along the Star Rail from one world to the next, and a train has the same proportions as a long desk mat: long, low and made to be seen from the side. A design with the Express in profile can stretch across an M or L strip, stars streaking past its windows and the keyboard parked over the middle carriages. Put the locomotive at the end opposite your mouse hand, where nothing covers it during the day.
On a deeper mat the train doesn't have to stay level. It can curve up from a lower corner and run along the top edge, leaving the area under your wrists as open starfield. That empty sky is calmer to look at while you work, and the Express still crosses your line of sight every time you glance up from the keys.
The crew of the Astral Express
The Trailblazer, Caelus or Stelle depending on your choice at the start, boards the Express with a Stellaron sealed inside their body, and the crew becomes the story's home base. Himeko is the navigator who found the stranded train and repaired it. Welt Yang is the veteran with the cane. March 7th, the pink-haired archer who was found frozen in a block of ice, takes photos of everything she sees. Dan Heng guards the train's archives, and Pom-Pom, the small conductor, keeps everyone in line.
A group design needs space so that each face stays readable around the keyboard. Choose XL, 15.7″ × 35.4″ (40 × 90 cm), or larger, with the crew arranged along the top half of the mat rather than shoulder to shoulder through the middle, where a keyboard and two hands would hide most of them.
Pom-Pom, trash cans and other small-pad ideas
On the 11.8″ × 15.7″ (30 × 40 cm) pad, your palm covers the lower half most of the day, so one clear shape near the top edge works better than a scene. Star Rail has plenty of them. Pom-Pom on its own is round, friendly and easy to read at a glance. March 7th's camera says a lot with very little. And the running joke about the Trailblazer rummaging through trash cans on every world they visit turns a single bin into a gag that only other players will get.
A small pad also suits a second desk or a laptop corner, where you clear a few Daily Training tasks during a break and a full desk mat would take up more room than the setup has.
Jarilo-VI in ice and stone
The first planet on the route is Jarilo-VI, a world locked in endless winter, where the city of Belobog is the last refuge from the cold. Above ground, the palette is pale stone, frost blue and snow under a gray sky. Below, in the Underworld mines around Boulder Town, it turns to rust, lamplight and warm metal.
Those two halves suit two kinds of desk. The Overworld fits a white or light gray setup with cool daylight bulbs and white peripherals. The Underworld fits a walnut desk, warm white light and a darker keyboard. Characters from Belobog, such as Bronya, Seele, Gepard, Serval and Clara with her giant robot Svarog, each bring one accent color, which keeps a design simple enough to sit next to a monitor without competing with it.
The Xianzhou Luofu in jade and vermilion
The Xianzhou Luofu is a vast starship whose streets, harbors and pavilions draw on Chinese architecture. Its look is jade green, vermilion lacquer, gold trim and drifting mist, with curved roofs layered against a sky full of passing ships. General Jing Yuan, the healer Bailu, the diviner Fu Xuan and the young swordsman Yanqing all belong to it, and Dan Heng's past is tied to it as well.
On a desk, the Luofu palette works with warm wood and a brass or paper lamp. A long scene of rooftops and walkways reads well under a keyboard because the architecture repeats, so nothing important disappears when the keys cover part of it. Keep a single red accent, a lantern or a railing, at the far end of the mat, and the composition holds together.
Penacony after midnight
Penacony, the Planet of Festivities, arrived in 2024 and moved the story into a world of dreams, grand hotel corridors and a city that never quite goes to sleep. It is the darkest and richest palette in the game: deep violet nights, gold lettering, neon pinks and the cheerful face of Clockie, the clock-headed mascot of Penacony's cartoons. Robin's concerts, Firefly's story and the constant sense that nothing is quite what it seems give the world a stage-lit mood.
That makes Penacony the Star Rail world for a dark RGB desk. Violet or magenta light behind the monitor picks up the night sky, and gold accents in the art pair with a brass lamp or warm keycaps. The pad has no lighting of its own, so it simply takes on the glow of the room around it.
Amphoreus in marble and gold
Early 2025 brought the Express to Amphoreus, a world drawn from Greek myth: white marble, laurel wreaths, temples on cliffs and gold under a bright sky. Characters such as Aglaea, Mydei and Phainon bring a classical look that is about as far from Penacony's neon as the game goes.
Amphoreus is the lightest world in the game and the easiest to fit on a white desk. A marble-toned design keeps the surface bright, pairs with white or cream peripherals and still looks tidy on a video call. If your setup mixes white and wood, a temple scene with warm gold edges ties the two together.
Paths and Aeons as symbols
Every character in Star Rail walks a Path, a way of living tied to one of the Aeons, the god-like beings of the setting. Destruction belongs to Nanook, the Hunt to Lan, Erudition to Nous, Harmony to Xipe, Nihility to IX, Preservation to Qlipoth and Abundance to Yaoshi. The Express itself follows Trailblaze, the Path of the vanished Aeon Akivili.
Each Path has a flat emblem in the game's menus, and those emblems are some of the cleanest graphics in the series. One emblem near the top of a small pad, gold on black or white on deep blue, reads as a simple geometric mark to most people and as a statement about your main team to another player. On a long mat, a row of Path emblems along the far edge leaves the rest of the surface plain.
Turn-based play on a PC
Star Rail doesn't ask for fast aiming. Combat is turn-based: you choose a basic attack, a skill or an ultimate and pick a target, and on PC most of that happens with keyboard shortcuts and single clicks. Exploration, puzzles and the long menus for relics and Traces are where the mouse does its real work.
So a desk mat here is less about tracking and more about comfort. The cushioned neoprene is softer under the wrists during long farming runs on auto-battle, the non-slip base keeps the keyboard from creeping, and a large mat leaves room for a controller if you prefer one for exploring. Because the same account also plays on a phone, the mat is a handy spot to set the phone down between runs.
Light Cones and splash art
Light Cones, the equipment each character carries into battle, come with illustrated art, many of them showing characters in small moments from the story rather than in combat. Their framed, painterly look suits a desk mat that should feel more like a print on the wall than a game screen. A Light Cone-style composition fits the 14″ × 24″ (35.5 × 61 cm) size beside a laptop, where the whole picture stays visible.
Character splash art from Warps is a different shape: tall, diagonal and full of motion. On a horizontal mat, it works with the figure at one end and the background extended across the rest, or cropped to the head and shoulders on a small pad. Shrinking a full-length figure into the middle, where the keyboard sits, wastes it.
Stellaron Hunters for a dark setup
The Stellaron Hunters are the game's mysterious outlaws, and their colors suit a black desk. Kafka is built around violet and deep red, Blade around black and blood red. Silver Wolf, the hacker who treats the universe like a game she can mod, comes with glitch effects and pixel blocks that look at home next to a gaming keyboard. Firefly's armored form, SAM, adds a heavier, mechanical shape.
A Hunters design suits red or purple lighting and black peripherals. For something quieter, the Herta Space Station, with its white corridors and clean blue screens, and the Simulated Universe, the roguelike mode run from inside it, offer a cool laboratory look for a minimal desk.
Sizes for a Star Rail desk
Each design's product page lists the sizes it can be ordered in. These are the ones that tend to suit Star Rail art.
| Setup | Size | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Mouse only | S, 11.8″ × 15.7″ (30 × 40 cm) | Pom-Pom, a Path emblem or a single trash can |
| Laptop desk | TCG Mat, 14″ × 24″ (35.5 × 61 cm) | A Light Cone-style scene beside a laptop |
| Compact keyboard | M, 11.8″ × 27.6″ (30 × 70 cm) | The Astral Express in profile |
| Keyboard and controller | XL, 15.7″ × 35.4″ (40 × 90 cm) | The crew along the top half of the mat |
| Deep desk | XXL, 23.6″ × 35.4″ (60 × 90 cm) | Penacony's night sky above the keyboard |
| The whole desk | 4XL, 23.6″ × 47.2″ (60 × 120 cm) | A panorama of the Xianzhou Luofu |
Not in the table: L, 11.8″ × 31.5″ (30 × 80 cm), gives the Express a little more track than M, and 3XL, 19.7″ × 39.4″ (50 × 100 cm), adds depth over XL for a desk that can't take the XXL.
Gifts for a Trailblazer
A Star Rail pad suits someone who logs in every day for Daily Training, someone saving Stellar Jade for the next Warp, or a friend who can't stop quoting March 7th. Pick the world they talk about most, or the Express itself if you aren't sure, since it belongs to every chapter of the story. When you can't measure the desk, an XL fits a full keyboard and a mouse on nearly any of them.
The game's anniversary falls on April 26, a natural date for it. Allow 1–3 business days for printing and stitching; the pad then leaves Turkey and usually reaches a US address 2–5 business days later.
Keeping a starfield clean
Dark Penacony and starfield designs hide wrist marks but show dust and lint, and pale Amphoreus and Jarilo-VI scenes do the reverse. Wipe the surface with a damp cloth when it starts to look dull. For a proper clean, hand wash the pad in lukewarm water with a little mild soap, rinse it well, roll it in a towel to squeeze out the water and leave it flat to dry. Keep it out of the washing machine and the dryer, and never iron it; the fade-resistant print holds its colors without any of that.

FAQ
Questions about Honkai Star Rail Mouse Pads
Can a Honkai: Star Rail desk mat show the whole Astral Express?
Yes, on a long size. Seen from the side, the train fits an M, 11.8″ × 27.6″ (30 × 70 cm), or an L strip. Put the locomotive at the end away from your mouse so it stays in view all day.
Which Honkai: Star Rail world suits a white desk?
Amphoreus, with its marble and gold, or the ice and pale stone of Jarilo-VI. Both keep a light setup bright; save Penacony's violet nights for a dark desk with RGB.
Do I need a big mouse pad for a turn-based game like Star Rail?
Not for aiming, since combat is turn-based and the mouse mostly clicks. A desk mat earns its place by cushioning your wrists, keeping the keyboard still and leaving room for a controller or your phone.
Which Path emblem works on a small pad?
Any of them. The Path icons, from Destruction to Abundance, are flat symbols that stay crisp on the S, 11.8″ × 15.7″ (30 × 40 cm), placed toward the top so your hand doesn't hide them.
When is a good time to give a Star Rail mouse pad?
The game's anniversary on April 26 is a natural date, and so is a big version launch. Printing takes 1–3 business days and US delivery usually 2–5 more, so order about two weeks ahead.
Is HoYoverse behind these Star Rail pads?
HoYoverse plays no part in them. Padrift is an independent studio that draws its own Star Rail-inspired art and prints each pad when it's ordered, with no license, sponsorship or endorsement from HoYoverse, miHoYo or COGNOSPHERE.
