About Bloodborne Mouse Pads

Bloodborne mouse pads for the desk

Our Bloodborne mouse pads and desk mats are original Padrift designs inspired by FromSoftware's gothic horror game, printed in high resolution over the whole surface of a 3 mm neoprene pad. A fabric top, a non-slip base and stitched edges come on every one. You can choose among eight desk sizes, starting at 11.8″ × 15.7″ (30 × 40 cm) and ending at 23.6″ × 47.2″ (60 × 120 cm), with the choices for each design set out on its product page. Each pad goes to print only when an order comes in.

Bloodborne, directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki and published by Sony, came out on the PlayStation 4 in March 2015, and The Old Hunters expansion followed that November. You arrive in Yharnam, a Victorian city famous for a blood that heals, on the night of the hunt, when its people are turning into beasts. What starts as a story of werewolves in cobbled streets slowly turns into cosmic horror, with gods from beyond the stars watching from above. Its look, all spires, gaslight and long coats, is unlike anything else on a desk.

A console game on a desk

Bloodborne was released on the PlayStation 4 alone, and it plays on the PS5 through backward compatibility, always with a controller in your hands. That shifts the job a desk mat does. On a desk where a PlayStation is connected to the monitor, the mat gives the controller a soft place to land between attempts, keeps it from sliding off a smooth surface, and stops the desk from getting scratched when you put it down in frustration.

On a PC desk used for work or other games, a Bloodborne pad sits under the keyboard and mouse as a reminder of the night in Yharnam waiting on the console. An XL, 15.7″ × 35.4″ (40 × 90 cm), holds a full keyboard with a controller resting at one end.

Yharnam is built upward

The city of Yharnam rises in layers: cramped streets at the bottom, bridges and stairways above them, and the spires of the Cathedral Ward and the Grand Cathedral climbing over everything. It is a vertical city, and that matters for a desk. A tall skyline needs depth to breathe, so the XXL, 23.6″ × 35.4″ (60 × 90 cm), and the 4XL suit it better than a long, shallow strip. With the keyboard in the foreground, the streets disappear under it and the towers rise behind the keys toward the monitor.

On a narrow mat, choose a fragment instead: a single gate, a stretch of iron railing or one spire in fog, which keeps the gothic mood without squeezing the city.

Gaslight and moonlight

Two kinds of light run through Bloodborne. The first is warm: street lamps, lanterns and burning torches carried by the mobs, all amber and orange against black stone. The second is cold: moonlight over the lake at Byrgenwerth and the pale blue of the night sky before it changes. Choosing between them is the easiest way to fit the game to your setup.

Gaslight designs suit a dark wooden desk, brass or bronze accents and a warm-white lamp. Moonlit designs suit a gray or black desk with cool white or blue lighting. Both stay dark enough that a monitor remains the brightest thing in the room.

The moon above the keyboard

As the night of the hunt goes on, the moon grows larger and closer until it hangs huge and red over the city. It is the single most striking image in the game, and it suggests a simple, strong layout: a great circle at the back center of the mat, framed between the monitor and the keyboard, with the rooftops of Yharnam in silhouette below it. On a black setup with red lighting, the effect is hard to beat.

On the 11.8″ × 15.7″ (30 × 40 cm) pad, the moon works on its own, a red disc on black placed toward the top edge where the hand doesn't reach.

Coats, hats and leather

Bloodborne's hunters dress like Victorian gentlemen gone to war: tricorn and top hats, long coats, capes, buckled boots and leather gloves, all in black, brown and dark gray. A design that zooms in on that clothing, the weave of a coat, a row of buckles or the stitched leather of a glove, makes a subtle desk mat. From a distance it looks like a plain, dark leather desk pad; up close, the details tell you exactly where it comes from.

That kind of texture suits an office desk or a shared room where a monster would be out of place.

Trick weapons in two forms

Every main weapon in Bloodborne transforms. The Saw Cleaver snaps out from a short cleaver into a long, serrated blade, the Threaded Cane splits into a whip, the Hunter Axe extends its handle, and the Kirkhammer joins a sword to a huge stone hammer. That gives designers a composition made for long mats: the weapon in its folded form at one end and fully extended at the other, with the transformation implied across the surface behind the keyboard.

The M, 11.8″ × 27.6″ (30 × 70 cm), holds a single weapon in its long form, laid along the back edge. Longer weapons, such as the Burial Blade's scythe or Ludwig's Holy Blade, suit the extra length of an XL.

A gun in the left hand

Bloodborne breaks with the shield of the Souls games: the off-hand holds a firearm, a pistol or a blunderbuss, used to interrupt an attack at the last moment and set up a visceral strike. A hunter's two hands map neatly onto a right-handed desk. A design with the pistol at the left end of the mat and the blade at the right puts the gun beside the keyboard and the saw under your mouse hand, the same arrangement the hunter carries into every fight.

Victorian patterns under the keys

Yharnam is covered in ornament: wrought-iron railings, carved stone, damask wallpaper in its houses and stained glass in its churches. Any of those makes an all-over pattern that works with a keyboard on top, because it looks complete however much of it is covered. A dark damask in deep red and black suits a gothic room, wrought iron in gray suits a minimal black setup, and a stained-glass design brings color to a desk without a single monster in it.

The Hunter's Dream for a pale desk

Not every Bloodborne design has to be dark. The Hunter's Dream, the place you return to between hunts, is a quiet garden of white flowers and gray headstones around a small workshop, lit by a soft, pale sky. It is the gentlest palette in the game: white, gray, faint violet and a little moss green. That makes it the Bloodborne choice for a white or light gray desk, where a blood moon would feel heavy.

The Doll, who tends the dream, belongs at one end of a long mat, among the flowers, with the workshop's roofline behind the keyboard.

Messengers on a small pad

The Messengers are tiny, pale creatures that crawl out of the ground around every lamp in Yharnam and run a shop from a bath in the Hunter's Dream. They are odd, slightly unsettling and oddly lovable at the same time, which makes them ideal for a small pad. A cluster of them reaching up from the corner of an 11.8″ × 15.7″ (30 × 40 cm) pad, clear of the mouse, is a quiet joke for anyone who has spent an evening reading the notes they hold up from other players.

What Insight shows you

As your character gains Insight, the game reveals things you couldn't see before: enormous creatures clinging to the buildings, whispers, new dangers. A design can borrow that idea. A cityscape drawn so that a huge, many-armed shape is hidden in the stonework, in the same tones as the towers around it, looks like an ordinary gothic skyline at first glance. Only up close, or after someone points it out, does the shape appear. It is the kind of detail that makes a desk mat worth looking at for months.

Great Ones and an office desk

The later parts of Bloodborne belong to the Great Ones, vast beings drawn from cosmic horror: Ebrietas, Rom, the Amygdala and others, all eyes, tentacles and pale flesh. Designs built on them are the most unsettling in the game. They suit a dark gaming room with purple or teal lighting and someone who likes their horror strange. For a shared office or a family desk, the gaslight streets, the hunters' clothing or the Victorian patterns carry the mood with much less to explain.

The Old Hunters and the clocktower

The Old Hunters expansion sends you into the Hunter's Nightmare, a blood-red version of the city, and to the Astral Clocktower, where Lady Maria waits beneath an enormous clock face. That clock is a striking motif for a desk where time matters: a pale clock face against dark stone, with a single figure seated below. The expansion's Fishing Hamlet adds a sea-gray, storm-lashed palette for anyone who prefers a cold, wet nightmare to a burning one.

Sizes for a Bloodborne desk

Sizes vary by design, and each product page names the ones available. These are the ones that suit Bloodborne art.

Gifts for a hunter

A Bloodborne mouse pad suits someone who has beaten Ludwig and Lady Maria, someone still stuck on Father Gascoigne, or someone who keeps a PS4 connected just for this game. The blood moon or a trick weapon is the safe choice if you don't know their favorite boss. March 24, the North American release date, is a good day to remember it.

If you can't measure their desk, an XL is the size that suits nearly any keyboard and mouse, with room for a controller. We take 1–3 business days to print and finish each pad; from Turkey, the parcel then needs about 2–5 business days to reach a US door.

Care for a dark pad

Deep red and black designs hide wrist marks, but lint and dust collect on them. A damp cloth or a lint roller once a week keeps the surface clean. For a deeper clean, hand wash the pad in lukewarm water with a little mild soap, rinse until the water runs clear, press it inside a towel and dry it flat. The washing machine, the dryer and the iron are not for this pad.

FAQ

Questions about Bloodborne Mouse Pads

Is a desk mat useful for Bloodborne if it's a console game?

Yes. Bloodborne is played with a controller on PS4 or PS5, and the mat gives the controller a soft, non-slip place to rest between attempts. On a PC desk it sits under your keyboard and mouse as usual.

Which Bloodborne design suits a light desk?

The Hunter's Dream, with its white flowers, gray headstones and pale sky. Its whites, grays and faint violet sit well on a white or light gray desk, where the blood moon would look heavy.

How does a trick weapon fit on a long mat?

Lay it along the back edge, folded at one end and extended at the other. The M, 11.8″ × 27.6″ (30 × 70 cm), holds one weapon at full length; longer ones like the Burial Blade suit an XL.

What fits on a small Bloodborne pad?

The blood moon, a cluster of Messengers, a hunter's hat or a single trick weapon folded. Keep it toward the top of the 11.8″ × 15.7″ (30 × 40 cm) pad, away from your hand.

Is a Bloodborne design too unsettling for an office?

The Great Ones can be. For a shared office, choose gaslight streets, a close-up of a hunter's coat or a Victorian damask pattern. They carry the gothic mood without a tentacle in sight.

Are these pads made by FromSoftware or PlayStation?

Neither made them. FromSoftware developed Bloodborne and Sony Interactive Entertainment published it, but these are Padrift's own gothic designs, printed to order without their license or approval.
