About Hades Mouse Pads

Hades mouse pads for the desk

Our Hades mouse pads and desk mats are Padrift designs inspired by Supergiant Games' Hades and Hades II, printed in high resolution all the way to the edges of a 3 mm neoprene pad. The surface is fabric, the base is non-slip and the border is stitched so it won't fray, and the print is made to resist fading. Eight desk sizes run from a compact 11.8″ × 15.7″ (30 × 40 cm) pad to a 23.6″ × 47.2″ (60 × 120 cm) desk mat, and each design's product page shows the sizes it is offered in. Printing starts only when your order arrives.

Hades, from the San Francisco studio behind Bastion, Transistor and Pyre, entered early access in December 2018 and was fully released in September 2020. You play Zagreus, the son of Hades, trying to escape the Underworld and reach the surface, and every time you fall you wake up back in your father's house, a little stronger and with new conversations waiting. It became one of the rare games to win a Hugo Award. Hades II, which entered early access in May 2024 and launched in full in September 2025, follows his sister, Melinoë, princess of the Underworld, on a fight against Chronos, the Titan of Time.

Bright ink for a dark room

Most action games about the land of the dead are drawn in gray and brown. Hades isn't. Under art director Jen Zee, it uses bold, saturated color, thick ink outlines and dramatic lighting, closer to a comic book or a painted poster than to a gloomy fantasy. That makes Hades art easy to read on a desk from across the room and unusually friendly to RGB: the reds, greens, golds and purples of the game can match whatever color your keyboard is set to. Even a busy design stays clear because every shape has a strong outline.

Zagreus in red and green

Zagreus is easy to recognize: a laurel wreath in his dark hair, one red eye and one green, a red-and-black outfit and feet that leave a trail of fire wherever he steps. Those two eye colors give a desk a neat idea. A design that leans red at one end and green at the other suits a keyboard with split lighting, and Zagreus himself, mid-dash with flames at his heels, makes a dynamic figure for the left end of a long mat. On the small pad, the laurel wreath alone in gold on black is a quiet, elegant symbol.

Aiming with the cursor

On PC with a mouse and keyboard, your attacks and casts in Hades go toward the cursor, and the dash sits on the space bar. That turns the mouse into the steering wheel of every fight: quick flicks to face a new enemy, short sweeps to land a cast and constant small corrections while you dash around the room. A fabric top gives those movements an even, predictable glide, and a mat with room for the mouse to travel helps more than a tiny pad. An XL, 15.7″ × 35.4″ (40 × 90 cm), leaves plenty of space for the mouse beside a full keyboard, and the non-slip base keeps the mat still during a frantic boss fight.

A god behind a desk

Hades himself spends most of the game behind an enormous desk in the great hall of his house, buried in paperwork and frowning at his son. It is a wonderful image for a desk mat, because it is a desk on a desk. A design with the god of the dead at his work, red and black stone around him and towering columns behind, suits anyone who runs a serious workstation with a sense of humor. The House of Hades' palette of crimson, black and gold suits a dark wood desk and warm lighting.

Four realms on the way up

Each escape attempt in the first game climbs through the same four realms, and each has its own color temperature. Tartarus, the first, is all deep red and purple stone. Asphodel is rivers of fire and black rock, orange against darkness. Elysium, the fields of the heroic dead, is green grass, gold light and clear water, the brightest place in the Underworld and the one for a light desk. The Temple of Styx is dark crimson halls before the final climb. Choosing a realm is the easiest way to fit Hades to a room's lighting.

Boons as small icons

The Olympians help Zagreus with boons, blessings shown as round icons in each god's color: Zeus's gold lightning, Poseidon's sea blue, Aphrodite's pink, Ares's red, Artemis's green, Dionysus's purple and others besides. A single boon icon is perfect for the 11.8″ × 15.7″ (30 × 40 cm) pad. It is round, simple and bright, and it sits in the upper half where your hand doesn't cover it. Pick the god whose color matches your lighting, or the one whose boons you always take, and the pad becomes a small statement of your build.

The Infernal Arms on a weapon rack

Zagreus chooses one of six Infernal Arms before each run, from the courtyard of the house: the Stygian Blade, the Heart-Seeking Bow, the Shield of Chaos, the Eternal Spear, the Twin Fists of Malphon and the Adamant Rail. Laid out together, they make a natural design for a long mat, displayed in a row along the back edge like a rack in an armory. Each weapon keeps its own glow and outline, and the keyboard sits in front of them as if you were about to make your choice for the next run.

Portraits with a lot of character

Jen Zee painted every member of the cast as a striking, full-length portrait. Nyx, the goddess of night, in deep violet and starlight. Thanatos, pale and gold, with his scythe. Megaera the Fury, sharp and severe. Achilles, the patient trainer. Each portrait is a full-length painted figure, and that shape suits the left end of a long mat, standing tall clear of the keyboard and the mouse. Choose a character by color as much as by personality: Nyx for a purple setup, Thanatos for gray and gold, Achilles for a warm, earthy desk.

Cerberus, Skelly and Dusa

Not everything in the Underworld is serious. Cerberus, the enormous three-headed dog, guards the house and waits patiently to be petted. Skelly, the cheerful skeleton in the courtyard, exists to be hit for practice and loves every minute of it. Dusa, a floating gorgon's head with snakes for hair, keeps the house tidy. These three make the friendliest Hades designs, ideal for a small pad, a shared desk or a younger player, and Cerberus curled up asleep at the end of a long mat is about as gentle as the Underworld gets.

Pomegranates, keys and fish

Many of the small things you collect make neat icons. Poms of Power, the glowing pomegranates that strengthen your boons, are a natural fit for Persephone's story. Chthonic Keys, gemstones, bottles of Nectar and the Darkness you spend in the Mirror of Night are simple shapes that read well at small sizes. Once you buy a fishing rod from the House Contractor, you can even fish in each realm, and a little grid of Underworld fish makes a quiet joke for anyone who spent a run hunting for a rare catch.

Hades II and the Crossroads

Hades II swaps the house for the Crossroads, a camp in the misty forest of Erebus where the witch Hecate trains Melinoë. Its look is moonlit and witchy: silver, pale green, deep purple and the glow of a cauldron at night. Melinoë fights with a witch's staff, sister blades, an axe and other weapons, casting magic that leans heavily on moon imagery. A Crossroads design suits a cool, dark desk with purple or teal lighting, and a crescent moon over Melinoë's silhouette is a calm, simple layout for an XL.

The surface and Olympus

The second game sends Melinoë in two directions: down through Erebus, Oceanus and the Fields of Mourning toward Tartarus, and up to the surface, through the city of Ephyra and the Rift of Thessaly toward Mount Olympus. The surface routes bring brighter palettes than anything in the first game: sea blue and white sails, then the gold and marble of the gods' mountain. They suit a light or white desk, and a long view of Olympus rising above the clouds fills a 4XL from end to end.

Darren Korb's music

Darren Korb's soundtracks mix heavy guitar with Mediterranean strings and percussion, and the songs sung with Ashley Barrett, such as Good Riddance and In the Blood, give the story a voice of its own. The music is built for the fights, fast and loud, but the quieter songs suit a long evening at the desk too. A Hades pad and that soundtrack together make a setup that feels like the house: warm, a bit dramatic and always ready for one more run.

Sizes for the House of Hades

Each design lists its own sizes on its product page. These are the sizes that suit Hades art and setups.

Two sizes are left out of the table: the L, 11.8″ × 31.5″ (30 × 80 cm), for a row of weapons on a shallow desk, and the 3XL, 19.7″ × 39.4″ (50 × 100 cm), for a portrait and a realm together with a little more depth than XL.

Gifts for someone who keeps dying

Think of the friend who has escaped the Underworld dozens of times, the one deep in Hades II, or the one who plays a single run every night before bed. When you can't guess their favorite character, a boon in their favorite god's color or a sleeping Cerberus rarely misses. With no idea of their desk size, choose an XL: it fits a full keyboard and gives the mouse room to aim.

September 17, the day Hades left early access, is a fitting date for the gift. The pad is made in 1–3 business days, then sent from Turkey, and US buyers usually have it 2–5 business days after it ships.

Care between runs

Saturated reds and purples hide wear well, while the bright greens and golds of Elysium show marks where your wrist rests. A damp cloth once a week keeps the colors clean. For a deeper wash, use lukewarm water and a mild soap by hand, rinse it all out, press the pad in a towel and leave it flat to dry. The washer, the dryer and the iron would all do more harm than good, so leave them out of it.

A note on names

FAQ

Questions about Hades Mouse Pads

Which Hades realm matches a green desk setup?

Elysium, with its green fields, gold light and clear water, is the brightest realm in the first game. For a darker green, the misty forest of Erebus around Hades II's Crossroads suits teal or green lighting.

Do I need a large pad to play Hades with a mouse?

It helps. Attacks follow the cursor, so the mouse is always moving in quick flicks and sweeps. An XL, 15.7″ × 35.4″ (40 × 90 cm), gives it room beside a full keyboard.

Which Hades motif suits the smallest pad?

One round boon icon in your favorite Olympian's color, a glowing Pom of Power, Zagreus's laurel wreath or Cerberus. The 11.8″ × 15.7″ (30 × 40 cm) pad keeps it near the top, above your mouse hand.

Is there a Hades II design for a purple setup?

Yes. The Crossroads, Hecate's camp in Erebus, is drawn in silver, pale green and deep purple, and a crescent moon over Melinoë's silhouette picks up purple or teal keyboard lighting.

Where should a Hades character portrait sit on a long mat?

At the left end, standing tall beside the keyboard. Jen Zee's portraits are full-length figures, so they fit the short side of an M, L or XL and stay clear of both hands.

Is Supergiant Games behind these pads?

Supergiant had nothing to do with them. Hades and Hades II are Supergiant's games; these pads are fan-made Padrift designs that borrow the games' mood, carry no license and are printed only when someone orders one.
