About Todoroki Mouse Pads
Todoroki mouse pads for the desk
Our Todoroki mouse pads and desk mats carry art inspired by Shoto Todoroki of My Hero Academia, printed edge to edge on a 3 mm neoprene pad with a fabric top, a non-slip base and stitched edges. The smallest size, 11.8″ × 15.7″ (30 × 40 cm), covers just the mouse; the largest, 23.6″ × 47.2″ (60 × 120 cm), covers most of a desk, and six more sit between them. We print each pad after the order comes in.
This page sits under My Hero Academia and focuses on Todoroki. Deku, All Might, Class 1-A and the League of Villains are on the My Hero Academia page, and Bakugo, the rival Todoroki faces in the Sports Festival final, has a page of his own.
Ice on the right, fire on the left
Todoroki's Quirk, Half-Cold Half-Hot, splits his body down the middle: his right side makes ice, and his left side makes fire. He inherited one half from each parent, and for much of the early story he refuses to use the fire at all. That split is the single strongest idea in any Todoroki design, a blue-white half and a red-orange half meeting in a sharp line.
It also raises a practical question on a desk. When Todoroki faces you, his right side, the ice, appears on your left, and his fire appears on your right, next to the mouse of a right-handed player. If you would rather rest your hand on the ice, look for a design where he is turned away or seen from behind, or simply flip the way you think about it: cool under the keyboard, warm under the mouse.
A red-and-white desk
The same split runs through his hair, white on the right and red on the left, which gives Todoroki one of the cleanest two-color palettes in anime. It translates directly into a setup. A white keyboard with red accents, a white mouse and a red cable, or a white desk with one red object on each side, makes a Todoroki mat look like it belongs there.
If your peripherals are black, the palette still works: the white and red become the only light areas on the desk, and the mat turns into the focal point.
Two eye colors and a scar
Todoroki's eyes don't match. His right eye is gray and his left is turquoise, and his left eye sits inside a large burn scar from his childhood, part of a painful family history the series takes its time to explain. A close-up portrait, cropped across the eyes, is a strong design for the small 11.8″ × 15.7″ (30 × 40 cm) pad or the long M, 11.8″ × 27.6″ (30 × 70 cm), where the crop runs naturally from one side to the other.
Because the scar sits on the red side, a face-on portrait puts the strongest detail on the right of the pad. Keep that in mind if you rest your palm there.
An all-ice desk
Some Todoroki designs leave the fire out entirely and show only the ice: pale blue walls, frost spreading across the ground and Todoroki standing in a cold mist. Those designs are the calmest in his range, almost monochrome, and they suit a white desk, cool white light and a study or work setup where red would feel too warm.
Ice art also hides the keyboard problem well. A glacier or a frozen field reads the same whether or not the middle is covered, so it works on any size from M upward.
When the fire comes out
The turning point for Todoroki comes in his Sports Festival match against Deku. Deku, breaking his own fingers to keep fighting, tells Todoroki that the fire is his own power, not his father's, and Todoroki lets his left side burn for the first time in the tournament. The scene is a burst of flame and steam over the arena, and it is the moment he starts to become his own hero.
Fire-side designs are warm and dramatic, red and orange against dark smoke. They suit a black desk with red or orange RGB, where the lighting picks up the flames, and they need width, so choose XL, 15.7″ × 35.4″ (40 × 90 cm), or larger.
A glacier across the stadium
Earlier in the same tournament, Todoroki ends a match against Hanta Sero in seconds by unleashing a wall of ice so huge that it towers over much of the stadium. The crowd, half impressed and half sorry for Sero, chants "don't mind" at the frozen loser. The image of that glacier, sharp and enormous against the sky, is one of the most dramatic landscapes in the series.
As a desk mat, it works like a mountain range: the ice rises along the top edge, the keyboard sits at its foot, and the scale is obvious even when half the base is covered. The deep XXL, 23.6″ × 35.4″ (60 × 90 cm), gives it the most room.
The Todoroki family
Todoroki's father is Endeavor, the flame hero, who spends years as the second-ranked hero behind All Might and pushes his son to surpass All Might in his place. Their relationship is the emotional core of Todoroki's story: anger, distance and, much later, a cautious attempt at repair. The family story eventually reaches well beyond the two of them, with his siblings, his mother and a link to the League of Villains that changes how the whole series reads.
Designs that show father and son together are fiery and tense, two figures wrapped in flame. They belong on a long mat, with one at each end, and suit someone who followed the family arcs to the end.
A hero called Shoto
When Class 1-A chooses hero names, Todoroki simply writes down his own first name, Shoto, a quiet way of saying that he is fighting as himself rather than as his father's son. It is one of the simplest hero names in the series and one of the most meaningful.
A design built around that idea, the name lettered cleanly across a strip of red and white, makes a subtle small pad or a narrow M-size mat, a nod that reads as clean typography to anyone outside the fandom.
The Hosu alley
Todoroki's friendship with Deku and Tenya Iida begins in earnest in Hosu, where the three of them end up fighting the Hero Killer Stain together in a narrow alley. It is the first time the three of them fight side by side, and they come out of it bandaged and much closer than before.
A Hosu design is darker than most Todoroki art, with night, rain-wet walls and city lights. With Todoroki, Deku and Iida in a line, it suits the TCG Mat size, 14″ × 24″ (35.5 × 61 cm), beside a laptop, or an XL mat with Todoroki at the end nearest the mouse.
The provisional license and Inasa
Todoroki's first attempt at a provisional hero license goes badly. During the exam he clashes with Inasa Yoarashi, a wind-using student from another school who resents Endeavor, and their argument lets a rescue go wrong; both of them fail. Todoroki then takes a remedial course alongside Bakugo and Inasa before earning the license.
Fire and wind together make a lively design, flames whipped into a spiral by a gust, and it suits a gaming desk with orange lighting. It is also a reminder that the calm student of the early chapters has to learn to work with people, not just beside them.
Lighting a split desk
Many LED strips and keyboards can show two colors at once, and a Todoroki mat is the obvious excuse to use that. Set the lighting on the ice side of the desk to cool blue or white and the fire side to red or orange, so the split in the art continues up the wall behind the monitor. Keep the brightness low; the mat's own red and white already do most of the work, and the effect looks deliberate rather than loud.
Cold soba and other quiet details
For a character who can freeze a stadium, Todoroki is very calm and a little oblivious, and the series has fun with it. His favorite food is cold soba, and he says so with complete seriousness. Small, quiet details like that make lighter designs: a bowl of cold noodles, a chibi Todoroki with a split hairline or a simple ice crystal and flame side by side.
In Japanese he is voiced by Yuki Kaji and in English by David Matranga, and both give him the same flat, gentle delivery that makes the comedy work. Light designs like these suit a pastel desk, a younger fan or a shared workspace.
For gaming and study
A Todoroki pad behaves exactly like the rest of our pads. The fabric top gives an even, steady glide for precise aim, the non-slip base keeps the mat still during fast movements, and the stitched edges stop fraying where your wrist rests. For study, an all-ice design under a laptop and notes keeps the desk cool and quiet, and the cushioned surface is comfortable to write on for a long evening of studying.

Gifts for a Todoroki fan
A Todoroki pad suits someone who rewatched his match against Deku, a fan who sides with the quiet characters or anyone with a red-and-white desk waiting for a centerpiece. His birthday in the series is January 11, so order before the holidays wind down if you want it there in time. Your pad is made in 1–3 business days, posted from Turkey and usually delivered within 2–5 business days in the US. If you can't check their desk first, the XL size is the one that fits most setups.
Caring for ice and fire
The white and pale blue of an ice design show skin oil sooner than the red, mostly where your wrist sits. Clean that area with a damp cloth once a week. When the whole pad needs attention, wash it by hand in lukewarm water with a mild soap, rinse thoroughly, press out the water with a towel and dry it flat. Keep it out of the washing machine and the dryer, and don't use an iron on it, however tempting it is to call on the fire side.
A note on names
Shoto Todoroki, My Hero Academia and the names of its characters and Quirks are used here to describe what our designs are inspired by. Padrift is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by Kōhei Horikoshi, Shueisha or Bones.
FAQ
Questions about Todoroki Mouse Pads
Which side of a Todoroki mat is fire and which is ice?
When he faces you, his ice side appears on your left and his fire side on your right, next to the mouse of a right-handed player. Designs that show him from behind reverse it.
What peripherals match a Todoroki desk mat?
White with red accents: a white keyboard and mouse with a red cable or a few red keycaps. Black peripherals work too, with the mat's red and white as the only light colors.
Where are Deku, Bakugo and the rest of the class?
Deku, All Might, Class 1-A and the villains are on the My Hero Academia page, and Bakugo has his own page under the series. This page keeps to Todoroki.
Which Todoroki design is calm enough for a study desk?
An all-ice design in white and pale blue. It is close to monochrome, sits well under a laptop and notes, and pairs with cool white light rather than RGB.
How do Todoroki and Deku fit on one desk mat?
Look for a long design, XL, 15.7″ × 35.4″ (40 × 90 cm), or wider, with one of them at each end. Their Sports Festival match and the Hosu alley both suit that layout.
Are these official Todoroki products?
Think of them as fan art on a desk mat rather than merchandise. Padrift creates and prints every Todoroki design without any deal with, or approval from, Horikoshi, Shueisha or Bones.
