About Spy x Family Mouse Pads

Spy x Family mouse pads for the desk

Padrift's Spy x Family mouse pads and desk mats feature original artwork inspired by Tatsuya Endo's comedy about a fake family with real secrets, printed edge to edge on 3 mm neoprene with a fabric top, a non-slip base and stitched edges. Pick from eight sizes, the smallest an 11.8″ × 15.7″ (30 × 40 cm) pad for a mouse and the largest a 23.6″ × 47.2″ (60 × 120 cm) mat for a full desk, and know that yours goes to print only after you order it.

The whole household is here: Loid, Yor, Anya and Bond, plus Eden Academy, Anya's classmates, Loid's handlers and the city of Berlint around them.

Operation Strix

Tatsuya Endo's manga first appeared on Shueisha's Shōnen Jump+ in 2019. The anime, made by Wit Studio and CloverWorks, started in 2022, with a second season and the film Spy x Family Code: White following in 2023.

The setup is a Cold War comedy. Twilight, the top spy of Westalis, is sent after Donovan Desmond, a politician in the rival nation of Ostania who almost never appears in public, and the only way in is through Desmond's son at the elite Eden Academy. So Twilight becomes Loid Forger, a psychiatrist, adopts a little girl named Anya and marries Yor Briar, a clerk at Berlint City Hall. He doesn't know that Yor is an assassin. Neither of them knows that Anya can read minds. Anya knows everything, and she is delighted.

A family with four secrets

The joke that drives every episode is that each member of the household is hiding something from the others, and only the youngest one has the full picture. That structure is handy for desk art. Each of the four has a public face and a secret one, so a design can show the cheerful family portrait or the version where everyone is quietly armed, reading minds or seeing the future.

A family portrait suits a shared space, a living room computer or a desk a parent and child both use, because it looks warm and ordinary at a glance. The secret version suits a gaming desk, where a little hidden menace is part of the fun.

Anya on the small pad

Anya is the face of the series: pink hair, green eyes, two little horn-shaped ornaments in her hair and the black Eden Academy uniform. She is also the easiest character to fit on an 11.8″ × 15.7″ (30 × 40 cm) pad, because her outline is round and clear and her expressions do all the work.

Place her in the top corner, opposite where your palm rests, and she stays visible all day. A single pink figure on a pale background suits a white or pastel desk; the same figure on dark navy gives a black setup one bright spot. For a child's homework table, an Anya pad is the gentlest choice in the whole series.

Loid's desk

Loid Forger is the most organized man in Berlint. His cover job is at Berlint General Hospital, where he sees patients as a psychiatrist; his real job involves disguises, coded messages, dead drops and a plan for every possibility, most of which Anya derails by lunchtime. He is blond, always in a sharp suit and rarely off duty.

Loid is the patron saint of the overprepared, which makes him a good fit for a work-from-home desk. A design built around him, dossiers, a city map, a trench coat silhouette at one end, suits a neat setup with a dark keyboard and a notebook. Keep his figure on the side away from the mouse, so the planning looks like it is happening next to your own.

Yor in black and rose

By day Yor is a polite, slightly awkward city hall clerk who can't cook. By night she is the Thorn Princess, an assassin in a black dress with gold ornaments in her long black hair and a pair of gold stilettos, working for an organization called the Garden. Her red eyes and that dress make her the most dramatic figure in the series.

Yor's colors make a dark desk. Black, deep red and touches of gold pair with a black keyboard, red keycaps or warm amber lighting. On a long mat, put her in a mid-leap at one end with roses trailing toward the keyboard, and the dark ground keeps the mat practical for gaming.

Bond, the dog who sees ahead

Bond is a big, fluffy white dog the family adopts after a mission goes sideways. Like Anya, he came out of a secret research program, and he can see glimpses of the future, which Anya can read from his mind. Mostly he uses the gift to steer everyone around disasters while looking slightly confused.

A white dog on a pale gray or light blue background is about as calm as anime art gets, and it suits an office desk or a dog owner who has never watched the show. On a white desk with white peripherals, a Bond design blends right in; on a dark one, his white coat is the brightest point on the mat.

Stellas and Tonitrus bolts

Eden Academy rewards students with Stellas, star-shaped honors, and punishes them with Tonitrus Bolts. Eight Stellas make a student an Imperial Scholar, which would give Loid access to Desmond; eight bolts get a student expelled. Anya collects bolts with remarkable ease and earns her first Stella in the least likely way possible.

That gives Spy x Family a real study-desk angle. A star design suits a student's desk, where the stars sit at the top of the mat above the notebook and the middle stays clear for writing. For a younger child, the joke is easy to share: one more homework sheet, one more star.

Damian, Becky and the class

Anya's classmates bring their own looks. Damian Desmond, the second son of Loid's target, is proud, flustered and secretly fond of Anya. Becky Blackbell, rich and dramatic, decides on day one that she and Anya are friends for life. Henry Henderson, their housemaster, judges everything by whether it is elegant.

A classroom lineup needs width. On an XL, 15.7″ × 35.4″ (40 × 90 cm), the students can stand in a row across the top, with the keyboard beneath them, and the matching black uniforms keep the design orderly even with a lot of faces in it.

Spy Wars and Bondman

Anya's favorite show is Spy Wars, a children's cartoon about a hero spy named Bondman, and she plays at being him constantly, which is part of why a real spy father thrills her so much. The family dog is named after him.

A Bondman-style design, a cartoon-within-a-cartoon with bold outlines, big gadgets and a heroic pose, suits a kid's gaming desk or a playroom computer. It is also a fun choice for a grown-up who loves spy films and wants something lighter than a serious thriller poster.

Handlers, informants and brothers

Around the family is a cast of adults with secrets of their own. Sylvia Sherwood, Loid's handler, runs operations with a stony face. Franky Franklin, his informant, has wild curly hair, endless schemes and terrible luck in love. Yuri Briar, Yor's younger brother, works for Ostania's secret police and adores his sister so intensely that he is suspicious of any man near her.

These characters suit a long, shallow mat, where a few side figures can line the back edge of an M, 11.8″ × 27.6″ (30 × 70 cm), while your hands work below. Franky's chaos and Yuri's glare make a funnier design than a straight spy scene.

Berlint in muted color

Berlint is drawn like a mid-century European city: trams, brick apartment blocks, cafés, a hospital and city hall. Its colors are muted, olive, mustard, teal, brown and cream, much like an old travel poster.

That palette suits a wooden desk better than most anime. A Berlint street scene on an XXL, 23.6″ × 35.4″ (60 × 90 cm), fills the area behind the keyboard with buildings and sky, and it looks at home in a living room or a study with warm lamps and a few plants.

A mat for a shared family computer

Spy x Family is one of the few anime that parents and children watch together, and that makes it a good fit for a desk the whole house uses. The fabric top is easy to wipe after snacks, the non-slip base keeps the mat from sliding when a child leans on it, and a cheerful design softens a desk that also holds bills and homework.

For gaming, the same pad gives a steady glide for a mouse and a cushioned surface for long sessions, and a dark Yor or Loid design hides scuffs on a desk that sees a lot of use.

Sizes for a Spy x Family desk

A design's own page shows which of the eight sizes it can be ordered in. Spy x Family art suits these setups.

L, 11.8″ × 31.5″ (30 × 80 cm), and 3XL, 19.7″ × 39.4″ (50 × 100 cm), fill the gaps in that list when a family lineup needs a little more length.

Spy x Family gifts

A Spy x Family pad works for a child who quotes Anya, a parent who watches with them, a spy-film lover or a dog owner who will smile at Bond without knowing the show. Choose Anya for a young fan, Yor for a dark gaming desk and the whole family for someone who loves the found-family side of the story. For a desk you can't measure, pick the 14″ × 24″ (35.5 × 61 cm) size; it fits a laptop setup, a homework table or a corner of a big gaming desk.

Making a pad takes 1–3 business days. Shipping from Turkey to the US then usually takes another 2–5 business days, so ordering two weeks before a birthday is a safe margin.

Keeping a family pad clean

A desk shared with kids collects crumbs, sticky fingers and the odd juice spill. Brush crumbs off, then wipe the surface with a damp cloth. Every so often, wash it by hand: lukewarm water, a small amount of mild soap, a gentle scrub where hands rest, a thorough rinse, then press the water out with a bath towel and lay the pad flat to dry overnight. Don't use the washing machine, the dryer or an iron, and the pink of Anya's hair stays bright.

FAQ

Questions about Spy x Family Mouse Pads

Which Spy x Family design suits a child's homework desk?

Anya, or a row of Eden Academy stars along the top of the mat. Both are cheerful, both leave the middle clear for a notebook, and the 14″ × 24″ (35.5 × 61 cm) size fits most homework tables.

Is there a Spy x Family design for a dark gaming desk?

Yor as the Thorn Princess. Black, deep red and gold match a black keyboard and red or amber lighting, and the dark ground hides scuffs from heavy use.

What size fits the whole Forger family?

XL, 15.7″ × 35.4″ (40 × 90 cm), or larger. Loid, Yor, Anya and Bond can stand in a row across the top with the keyboard below them, and nobody ends up under your mouse hand.

Which Spy x Family pad suits a dog owner?

Bond on his own. A big fluffy white dog on a pale background reads as a cute dog to anyone, and fans will know he is the one who can see the future.

Which Spy x Family art goes with a wooden desk?

A Berlint street scene. The city's olive, mustard, teal and brown look like an old travel poster and sit comfortably with oak or walnut and warm lamps.

Do Tatsuya Endo or Shueisha make these pads?

Neither does. Every Spy x Family-inspired design here is drawn and printed by Padrift, and no rights holder, including Endo, Shueisha, Wit Studio or CloverWorks, has approved or sponsored them.
