About Lelouch Lamperouge Mouse Pads
Lelouch mouse pads for the desk
On this page are Padrift's Lelouch Lamperouge mouse pads and desk mats, original designs inspired by the hero of Code Geass, each printed edge to edge on 3 mm neoprene with a fabric top, a non-slip base and stitched edges. The eight desk sizes start at 11.8″ × 15.7″ (30 × 40 cm), enough for a mouse, and go up to 23.6″ × 47.2″ (60 × 120 cm), enough for most of a desk; we print your pad once the order is in.
The page sits directly under Anime Mouse Pads. There's no separate Code Geass page in the shop, which is why the world around Lelouch is covered here too: Zero and the Black Knights, C.C., Suzaku, Nunnally, Kallen and the Knightmare Frames. Every other series in the range is on the Anime page.
Code Geass in brief
Sunrise made Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion as an original story rather than an adaptation. Gorō Taniguchi directed, Ichirō Ōkouchi wrote the scripts and CLAMP, the four-woman manga group, drew the characters. Season one aired across 2006 and 2007, R2 followed in 2008, and the film Lelouch of the Re;surrection arrived in 2019.
The setting is an alternate history in which Japan has fallen to the Holy Britannian Empire and lost even its name; the empire calls it Area 11. Lelouch vi Britannia, a prince who was sent there as a child with his younger sister Nunnally after their mother's murder, lives in hiding as an ordinary student called Lelouch Lamperouge. When a mysterious girl named C.C. gives him the power of Geass, the ability to make anyone obey a single command, he puts on a mask, becomes Zero and starts a rebellion against his own father's empire.
Two lives, two palettes
Lelouch spends the series switching between identities, and each has its own colors. As a student at Ashford Academy he wears the black school uniform with gold trim, a neat, quiet look. As Zero he wears black and deep purple with gold details, a costume built for speeches in front of crowds. And as a prince of Britannia he belongs to a world of white, gold and royal purple.
That gives you three ways to match a desk. The school uniform suits a black setup with a single gold or brass accent. Zero suits a gaming desk with purple lighting. The imperial look suits a white desk, where gold and purple stand out against a light surface. Lelouch's violet eyes run through all three, so a soft violet LED strip ties any of them to the room.
Zero: the mask and the cape
Zero's mask is the defining image of the series: a sleek black helmet with a smooth, angular face and a panel that slides open over one eye when Lelouch uses his power. Add a high collar and a long cape, and the whole silhouette works as a graphic on its own, even without a face.
A Zero design suits the long sizes. On an XL, 15.7″ × 35.4″ (40 × 90 cm), the cape can sweep across the mat with the mask at one end, away from your mouse, so the most important part of the art never disappears under your hand. On a dark desk, the mask almost merges with a black keyboard, and only the purple and gold details pick up the light.
The Geass eye
When Lelouch uses Geass, a red bird-shaped sigil glows in his eye. It works through eye contact, and each person can be commanded only once. Later in the story the power slips out of his control and stays active permanently, forcing him to hide it behind a special contact lens.
A close crop of the eye, violet iris and red sigil, is ideal for the long M size, 11.8″ × 27.6″ (30 × 70 cm), where the face stretches across the strip and the keyboard sits below it. The red against violet is striking under dim lighting and gives a dark setup a single, intense focal point.
The board on the desk
Lelouch thinks in chess. From the first episode, where he plays a bored nobleman for money, to his matches against his half-brother Schneizel, the board is the series' favorite metaphor, and he talks about people as pieces and plans as openings.
A chessboard design has a practical advantage on a desk mat: it's a grid, so it looks deliberate wherever the keyboard lands. For a clean layout, keep the board toward one end and place the black king on the side of your mouse hand, so it stays visible above the area where your arm moves. A few fallen pieces scattered across the rest of the mat keep the theme going without crowding the keys.
A desk for strategy games
If any anime character belongs on a strategy gamer's desk, it is Lelouch. Real-time strategy, grand strategy and turn-based tactics games involve exactly what he does: reading the map, planning several moves ahead and adapting when a plan falls apart. A Lelouch desk mat under a keyboard used for hotkeys and a mouse used for selecting units fits the genre perfectly.
Strategy games also tend to mean long sessions, which is where the pad's construction helps. The cushioned neoprene is easier on wrists than a bare desk, the non-slip base stops the mat from shifting when you drag a quick selection box, and the fabric top gives the mouse a smooth, even glide across the whole surface.
C.C. and the pizza box
C.C., the immortal green-haired witch who gives Lelouch his power, is the series' most mysterious character and its most relaxed one. She first appears in a white straitjacket and spends much of her time lounging in Lelouch's room, ordering pizza and hugging Cheese-kun, a yellow plush mascot she rarely lets go of.
Her designs are lighter in mood than the rest of Code Geass: green hair, a white outfit and the occasional pizza box. They suit a white desk or a relaxed setup, and a C.C. design paired with a Lelouch mat on the desk next door makes a natural pair for two people who share a room.
Suzaku in white
Suzaku Kururugi, Lelouch's childhood friend and the son of Japan's last prime minister, fights on the opposite side as a soldier of Britannia. He pilots the Lancelot, a white Knightmare Frame with gold trim, and he is everything Lelouch is not: physically brilliant, idealistic and determined to change the empire from within.
The two of them are a natural split design: Lelouch in black on one end of the mat, Suzaku in white on the other, and the keyboard in the space between them. A layout like that works on an XL or larger, and it suits a desk with both black and white peripherals.
Knightmare Frames in black and gold
Lelouch is no ace pilot; his strength is command, not combat. Even so, the frames he uses, the black Gawain, which he shares with C.C., and later the black-and-gold Shinkirō, are built around his role as a commander rather than a duelist. Kallen Kōzuki's red Guren, the Black Knights' ace frame, is the most colorful machine in the series.
A Knightmare Frame design suits a mecha fan's desk, especially one with model kits on a shelf. A black-and-gold frame matches a black keyboard with gold accents; a red Guren suits a desk with red keycaps or lighting.
Nunnally and the paper cranes
Everything Lelouch does, he says, is for Nunnally, his younger sister, who is blind and uses a wheelchair. She is gentle and kind, folds paper cranes and hopes for a world without war. Her scenes are the warmest in Code Geass, drawn in soft pinks and creams.
A design built around Nunnally or her cranes is the softest Code Geass option. It suits a calm study desk or a bright room, and a few white paper cranes on a pale background are subtle enough for any office.
Ashford Academy
Between the battles, Code Geass is also a school story. Lelouch is vice president of the student council at Ashford Academy, alongside its president, Milly, who organizes ever more absurd events, including a school festival where the council tries to make the world's largest pizza using a Knightmare Frame. Shirley, Rivalz and the rest of the council give the series its lighter moments.
Academy designs, uniforms, the school buildings and the student council room, are the most everyday Code Geass art, and they suit a student's desk. On the 14″ × 24″ (35.5 × 61 cm) size, a school scene sits well beside a laptop and textbooks.
The hand over the eye
Lelouch's signature pose, one hand spread across his face with the Geass eye showing between his fingers, is instantly recognizable. As a single image it works well on the small 11.8″ × 15.7″ (30 × 40 cm) pad, placed toward the top so that your hand rests below it.
The emperor in white
Spoilers for the end of R2: in the final episodes, Lelouch becomes emperor of Britannia and appears in white and gold imperial robes, a complete inversion of Zero's black. The plan he sets in motion, the Zero Requiem, gives Code Geass an ending that viewers still argue about. Designs drawn from those last episodes are the most dramatic Lelouch art, white and gold against a dark sky, and they suit a desk where the art is meant to stand out.
Sizes for a Lelouch desk
Size options differ from design to design, and each product page lists its own. These are the sizes that suit Lelouch and Code Geass art.
| Setup | Size | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Mouse only | S, 11.8″ × 15.7″ (30 × 40 cm) | The hand-over-eye pose |
| Laptop or study desk | TCG Mat, 14″ × 24″ (35.5 × 61 cm) | An Ashford Academy scene |
| Compact keyboard | M, 11.8″ × 27.6″ (30 × 70 cm) | A close crop of the Geass eye |
| Keyboard and mouse | XL, 15.7″ × 35.4″ (40 × 90 cm) | Zero's cape sweeping across |
| Deep desk | XXL, 23.6″ × 35.4″ (60 × 90 cm) | A chessboard with room above the keys |
| The whole desk | 4XL, 23.6″ × 47.2″ (60 × 120 cm) | Lelouch and Suzaku, black and white |
Two other sizes, L at 11.8″ × 31.5″ (30 × 80 cm) and 3XL at 19.7″ × 39.4″ (50 × 100 cm), suit a desk that has length to spare but little room behind the keyboard.
Gifts for a strategist
A Lelouch pad suits someone who still talks about the ending of R2, a strategy gamer who plans every move or a chess player who also watches anime. Choose Zero for a gamer, the chessboard for a thinker and C.C. for someone who would happily live on pizza. Unsure of the desk? The 14″ × 24″ (35.5 × 61 cm) size or an XL covers most setups.
Each pad takes 1–3 business days to make before it leaves Turkey, and it usually reaches the US within another 2–5 business days.
Keeping a dark pad looking sharp
Lelouch designs lean on black and deep purple, which hide most marks but show dust and hair. Keep a lint roller nearby and wipe the surface with a slightly damp cloth on a weekly basis. Should it need a real wash, use your hands, lukewarm water and a small amount of mild soap, then rinse, blot the pad with a towel until it stops dripping and lay it out flat to dry. Washing machines, dryers and irons all damage it, so leave them out; the fade-resistant print keeps the red of the Geass bright.

FAQ
Questions about Lelouch Lamperouge Mouse Pads
Why is Lelouch filed under Anime rather than a Code Geass page?
Code Geass has no series page in the shop, so its designs gather here, directly under Anime. Alongside Lelouch, this page covers Zero, C.C., Suzaku, Nunnally, Kallen and the Knightmare Frames.
Which Lelouch design suits purple lighting?
Zero, in black and deep purple with gold details. Under a violet LED strip, the purple in the costume and Lelouch's violet eyes pick up the light, while the black mask blends with a dark keyboard.
How should a chessboard design sit around my keyboard?
Keep the board toward one end of the mat with the black king on your mouse side, where it stays visible above your arm. A grid looks deliberate wherever the keyboard lands.
What size fits a close-up of the Geass eye?
The M size, 11.8″ × 27.6″ (30 × 70 cm). The face stretches across the strip, the keyboard sits below the eye, and the red sigil stays in view.
Does this page include C.C. and Suzaku?
Yes. Since Code Geass has no separate page, C.C. with her pizza and Cheese-kun, Suzaku and the white Lancelot, and the rest of the cast all belong here alongside Lelouch.
Do Sunrise or CLAMP license these Lelouch pads?
No license is involved. The designs are Padrift's own, inspired by Code Geass and printed for each order; Sunrise, Bandai Namco Filmworks and CLAMP neither produce nor endorse them.
