About Invincible Rugs

Not your average superhero story

Invincible began in 2003 as an Image Comics series by Robert Kirkman, co-creator of The Walking Dead, with artists Cory Walker and later Ryan Ottley. It ran for fifteen years and 144 issues. Mark Grayson is an ordinary teenager whose father, Nolan, is Omni-Man, the most powerful superhero on Earth, and when Mark's own powers finally arrive, he's thrilled. Then the story turns, brutally, and Invincible becomes something no one expected from a bright, colorful superhero comic.

The animated series on Prime Video, which began in 2021, made Invincible a global hit, with a voice cast led by Steven Yeun, J.K. Simmons and Sandra Oh, and a reputation for shocking twists and unflinching violence. An Invincible rug brings its bold, comic-book colors into the room. Ours are printed into short velvet, so primary yellows and blues, crisp outlines and halftone shading come out sharp, and they go in the washing machine.

Mark Grayson

Mark's original suit, bright yellow with blue sleeves, gloves and boots and a blue mask, is classic superhero design, simple and instantly readable. Later, he trades it for a darker suit of black and blue, a sign of how much the story has changed him. Fans tend to love one or the other. A color-block rug in Mark's yellow and blue is a clever, subtle design: it looks like bold, modern graphic art to anyone who hasn't seen the show, and like Invincible to anyone who has.

Omni-Man

Nolan Grayson, Omni-Man, is one of the great characters in recent animation: imposing, mustached, caped in white and red, and far more complicated than he first seems. J.K. Simmons's performance made him unforgettable, and his scenes became some of the most memed moments on the internet, especially a certain lesson in which he tells his son to think. An Omni-Man design is a bold, dramatic rug for a man cave or a home theater, and a dark, shared joke between fans.

Atom Eve and the heroes

Atom Eve, Samantha Eve Wilkins, who can rearrange matter at will, glows in pink and is one of the series' most loved heroes. Around Mark and Eve, Invincible's world is full of memorable characters:

  • The Guardians of the Globe, Earth's premier superhero team, and their replacements.
  • Allen the Alien, the cheerful one-eyed alien with a punishing training schedule.
  • Cecil Stedman and the Global Defense Agency.
  • Debbie Grayson, Mark's mother, the emotional heart of the show.
  • Robot, Rex Splode, Monster Girl, Battle Beast and many more.

A team line-up design suits a fan who loves the whole cast; Atom Eve on her own, in soft pink, is a brighter, gentler choice.

Season by season

The animated series has grown with every season. The first, in 2021, ended with one of the most talked-about finales in television animation. The second, released in two parts across 2023 and 2024, pushed Mark into the multiverse and out into space, and a special episode told Atom Eve's own origin. The third, in 2025, gave Mark his new black-and-blue suit and darker stakes. Each season has its own iconic moments, so fans often choose a design tied to the one that hit them hardest.

Space and the Coalition

Invincible's story isn't confined to Earth. Allen the Alien's travels, the Coalition of Planets, strange alien worlds and battles in deep space give the series a cosmic scale. A space design, Mark flying past an alien planet, or a star field with the Coalition's ships, is a calmer, more atmospheric Invincible rug that suits a bedroom as well as a game room. Our space rugs have more starry designs.

Battle Beast

Thokk, the lion-headed warrior known as Battle Beast, wants only one thing: a worthy opponent. With his mane, his huge axe and his fierce honor, he's become one of the most popular side characters in the series. A Battle Beast design is a bold, ferocious rug for a man cave or a gym corner, and a favorite of fans who love a warrior with a code.

An ordinary life, too

Part of Invincible's charm is how normal Mark's life stays: a job at a burger restaurant, college classes, awkward dates, a mother trying to hold everything together. Debbie Grayson, in particular, gives the show its emotional weight. Designs that celebrate the quieter side of the story, the Grayson family home, Mark and Eve on a rooftop at night, suit fans who stayed for the characters as much as the fights.

The title card

Every episode of the show opens with the same title card: the word INVINCIBLE in huge yellow letters, which gets messier, and bloodier, as the series goes on. It's become an icon of its own. A title-card design, yellow letters on a deep blue or black ground, is the most recognizable Invincible rug, graphic and bold. Keep it clean if you prefer; fans will still get the joke straight away.

Comic-book panels

Before the show, Invincible was a comic, and Ryan Ottley's art defined it for years: dynamic action, expressive faces and bright, saturated colors. A comic-panel rug, a page of action with speech bubbles and sound effects, or a classic cover in vintage colors, is a playful pop-art piece for a comic reader's room. It sits naturally beside our pop art rugs.

The Viltrumites

Without spoiling much, Omni-Man is not from Earth. The Viltrum Empire, a race of nearly indestructible conquerors, looms over the whole story, and its emblem, empire and soldiers become more important with each season. A Viltrumite design, sleek, imperial and severe, is a striking choice for fans who have followed the story deep into the original comics.

The title card is the design fans recognize instantly, and it suits the home theater where the show is most likely watched.

A note for younger rooms

Invincible looks like a bright superhero cartoon, but it's made for adults, with graphic violence and dark themes. For a child's room, a color-block design in Mark's yellow and blue, or a clean title card, keeps the fun without anything frightening. Save Omni-Man's darker moments for the grown-ups' game room.

Home theaters and man caves

Invincible is a show people watch together, often with friends who gasp at the same moments. A rug in front of the screen, 5×7 ft in Premium velvet, 7 mm plush on a bamboo and cotton back, is soft and warm for binge nights on the floor. In a man cave, an Omni-Man or title-card design pairs well with dark walls, leather and framed comic covers. See our home theater rugs and man cave rugs for the rest of the room.

Superhero shelves

Invincible fans usually love superheroes of every kind. If your shelf also holds Marvel or DC Comics, an Invincible rug sits right alongside, the independent upstart standing proudly among the giants. Browse more film and TV favorites in our movie and pop culture rugs.

Colors and rooms

Invincible's palette is bright primaries: Mark's yellow and blue, Omni-Man's white and red, Atom Eve's pink, on deep blue skies. Give a bright rug neutral company, white, grey or black walls and furniture, so it reads as a bold accent. Mark's darker black-and-blue suit is the easiest Invincible design to fit into a moody, modern room. For a single accent, a yellow lamp or a blue cushion picks up the suit's colors without turning the whole room into a costume.

Sizes and levels

Under a desk or gaming chair, choose Standard in 3.3×5 or 4×6 ft: its 5 mm crushed velvet on a non-slip faux leather back lets wheels roll freely and stays put. In a living room or home theater, choose Premium in 5×7 ft. A color-block or title-card design suits a long rectangle by a door, 2×3 ft, in Standard.

Gifts

An Invincible rug is a great gift for a friend who quotes Omni-Man at every opportunity, or a comic reader who's been telling everyone to read Invincible since 2003. If you aren't sure which design to choose, the title card is the safest, because every viewer has seen it at the start of every single episode. Every rug is printed to order in 1–3 business days and ships from Turkey; US delivery usually takes 2–5 business days after that.

Care

Vacuum on a low setting each week, blot spills with cold water straight away and wash the rug on a gentle, cold cycle when it needs it; let it air dry flat. The design is printed into the fibers, so the yellow stays bright and the blue stays deep through many washes.

A note on the series

The Guardians of the Globe

Before Mark's story really begins, Earth is protected by the Guardians of the Globe, a team that includes the Immortal, War Woman, Red Rush, Darkwing, Green Ghost, Aquarus and Martian Man. Their fate in the very first episode sets the show's tone. A rug of the team's silhouettes standing together in front of their headquarters, in bold comic colors, is a striking design for fans who remember that shock.

FAQ

Questions about Invincible Rugs

Which Invincible rug design should I start with?

The title card, INVINCIBLE in huge yellow letters on blue. Omni-Man and Mark Grayson's yellow-and-blue suit are strong alternatives.

Is there a subtle Invincible design?

A color-block rug in Mark's yellow and blue. It looks like modern graphic art to visitors and like Invincible to fans.

Is an Invincible rug suitable for a child's room?

Choose a color-block or clean title-card design. The show itself is made for adults, so save the darker scenes for grown-up rooms.

Does this page cover the comic as well as the show?

Yes. It covers Robert Kirkman's original comic, with its classic panels and covers, and the Prime Video animated series.

What size Invincible rug suits a home theater?

A 5×7 ft Premium rug in front of the screen: the 7 mm plush pile is soft enough to sit on through a whole season in one night.

Which Invincible rug goes under a desk chair?

Standard in 3.3×5 or 4×6 ft. Go for Mark's yellow and blue or an Omni-Man red; the faux leather underside grips the floor, so a rolling chair won't push the rug around.

How do I wash an Invincible rug?

Machine wash on a gentle cold cycle, then lay it flat to dry. The bold comic primaries are printed into the fibers, so Omni-Man's red stays red.

Is this official Invincible merchandise?

No. Our comic-style heroes and title-card designs are inspired by the series; Padrift isn't affiliated with Robert Kirkman, Skybound, Image Comics or Amazon.
