About Ichigo Mouse Pads

Ichigo mouse pads for the desk

Our Ichigo mouse pads and desk mats carry art inspired by Ichigo Kurosaki, the substitute Soul Reaper at the heart of Bleach, printed edge to edge on a 3 mm neoprene pad with a fabric top, a non-slip base and stitched edges. Choose any of eight sizes: at one extreme an 11.8″ × 15.7″ (30 × 40 cm) pad just for the mouse, at the other a 23.6″ × 47.2″ (60 × 120 cm) mat for the whole desk; your pad is printed only after you order it.

This page sits under Bleach and keeps to designs where Ichigo is the subject. Rukia, the captains of the Gotei 13, the Hollows, the Espada, Aizen and the Quincy are on the Bleach page, along with the symbols and places of the wider series.

Orange hair and a frown

Ichigo is easy to spot. He is a fifteen-year-old high-school student with spiky orange hair and a permanent frown, and he has spent years fending off delinquents who pick on him for a hair color he was born with. Put him in the black robes of a Soul Reaper, and the orange becomes the brightest point in almost any frame.

On a desk, that makes him one of the few Bleach characters who brings his own accent color. A design that is mostly black, with his hair as the only warm tone, looks striking on a dark desk and needs nothing else to match it. If you want to echo it, one orange keycap or an orange cable is plenty; any more and the hair stops being the focus.

Zangetsu, the cleaver

In shikai, Ichigo's sword is not a katana at all. Zangetsu is a huge, cleaver-shaped blade with no guard, its hilt wrapped in cloth that trails off in a long tail, and he usually carries it on his back. Even among Bleach's strange swords, nothing else looks like it.

That shape suits a long desk mat. A design with Zangetsu laid along the top edge, the wrapped hilt at one end and the cloth trailing toward the other, runs above the keyboard and stays visible all day. Ichigo resting the blade on his shoulder, standing at one end of the mat, uses the same horizontal line and adds a figure without crowding the center.

Tensa Zangetsu and the black coat

Ichigo's bankai does the opposite of what you might expect. Instead of growing, Tensa Zangetsu shrinks into a slim black blade with a short chain hanging from the hilt, and his robe becomes a long black coat with a ragged hem. The power goes into speed rather than size.

The bankai look is the darkest Ichigo there is: black coat, black blade, orange hair. It belongs on a black desk with low light, where the coat blends into the surface and the hair and the edge of the sword seem to float. For a gaming setup, this is the design that suits a black keyboard and red or orange lighting.

Getsuga Tenshō

Ichigo's signature attack, Getsuga Tenshō, releases a crescent-shaped wave of energy from the blade, and the name itself refers to a moon fang piercing the heavens. In shikai the wave is pale and bright; after bankai, it turns black with a red edge.

A crescent is a beautiful shape for a desk mat, because it can sweep from one end to the other in a single arc. A design built on that arc, with the wave curving across the mat and Ichigo at the point where it begins, has a sense of motion that suits a gaming desk. The black-and-red bankai version is the one to choose for red RGB.

The mask

Ichigo carries a Hollow inside him, and when it surfaces, a white mask forms over his face, marked with red stripes down one side. Trained by the Visored, he learns to summon the mask in battle, and the image of a half-masked Ichigo, one eye human and one eye Hollow, is one of his defining looks.

For a small pad, the mask alone is a strong, slightly unsettling symbol: white on black, with a flash of red. Set toward the top edge of the 11.8″ × 15.7″ (30 × 40 cm) pad, it stays visible above the mouse and reads as a striking graphic even to someone who has never watched Bleach.

The full Hollow form

In Hueco Mundo, during his fight with Ulquiorra Cifer, Ichigo transforms completely: a white, almost skeletal body, long horns sweeping forward from the mask, a hole through his chest and a mane of long orange hair. It is the most frightening form he takes, and a turning point of the Arrancar arc.

The Hollow form is a tall, vertical figure, and a desk mat is wide and short, so it suits the deepest sizes. The XXL, 23.6″ × 35.4″ (60 × 90 cm), lets the horns rise above the keyboard with the moonlit sands of Hueco Mundo behind them. It belongs on a dark desk and in front of someone who likes the series' horror side.

Mugetsu

In the final fight against Aizen, Ichigo uses the Final Getsuga Tenshō, becoming the power itself. His hair grows long and black, and the attack he unleashes, Mugetsu, a name that means moonless sky, swallows everything in darkness.

That gives you the most minimal Ichigo design of all: a field of black across the whole mat, broken only by a thin figure or a single streak of light. It sounds austere, but on a desk it works beautifully. A black mat makes a monitor's colors look deeper, hides cables and gives white or silver keycaps a clean backdrop.

The substitute badge

After the Soul Society arc, Ichigo is given a Substitute Soul Reaper badge, a wooden plate with a skull-shaped emblem, presented by Captain Jūshirō Ukitake of the Thirteenth Division. It lets him leave his body and become a Soul Reaper whenever he needs to.

A badge is a perfect small-pad symbol: compact, warm in color and instantly recognizable to fans. Placed near the top of the pad, on a dark or wood-toned background, it suits a work desk or a study desk where you want a reference rather than a battle.

The Kurosaki house

Ichigo lives above the Kurosaki Clinic, the family practice run by his father, Isshin, who greets his son most mornings with a flying kick. His sisters keep the house running: Yuzu, who cooks and fusses over everyone, and Karin, who plays soccer and can see ghosts as clearly as Ichigo can. On the wall hangs a huge poster of their late mother, Masaki, which Isshin talks to.

Designs from that everyday life are much lighter than the battle art: a clinic sign, the family at the dinner table, Ichigo dodging another kick. They suit a family desk, a younger fan or anyone who loves the comedy that runs alongside the fights.

A name that means protector

Ichigo's name sounds like the Japanese word for strawberry, which his enemies are happy to point out. But it is written with the characters for one and protect, and Ichigo reads his own name as one who protects. That idea, protecting the people around him, drives him through the whole series.

A calligraphy design built on the name, or on the kanji alone, is a quiet and personal choice for a small pad or the top edge of a desk mat. It suits someone who prefers meaning to action, and it fits neatly on a work desk.

Fullbring and the two blades

Ichigo's look changes again in the later arcs. In the Fullbring arc, he gains a new power through his substitute badge, with armor-like clothing in black and white. In the Thousand-Year Blood War, Zangetsu is reforged into two blades, a large cleaver and a shorter knife, and he fights with one in each hand.

The twin-blade Ichigo is the newest version of the character, drawn in the sharper, high-contrast style of the anime that began in 2022. Two swords held at his sides fit a wide mat well, one blade at each end of the keyboard, and they suit fans who discovered Bleach through the newer episodes.

Ichigo and Rukia

Bleach begins when Rukia Kuchiki passes her powers to Ichigo, and the bond between them shapes the whole story, from his rescue of her on the execution hill of Soul Society to the final arc. They are drawn as opposites in color: his orange and black against her white ice and dark hair.

A design that places them at opposite ends of a mat, with the keyboard between them, carries both palettes without mixing them. Rukia herself, with Sode no Shirayuki, is covered on the Bleach page; a shared design is the way to bring them together on one desk.

Fast hands

An Ichigo pad performs like every pad we make. Flicks and tracking feel the same in every corner of the fabric top, the non-slip base holds firm when you whip the mouse across, and the stitched edges hold up where your forearm presses down. For low-sensitivity play, the XL or a larger size leaves room for big arm movements.

The product page for every design names the sizes available for it. These suit Ichigo art.

Gifts for an Ichigo fan

An Ichigo pad suits someone who grew up with the original anime, someone who arrived with Thousand-Year Blood War, or a friend who has argued about shikai versus bankai more than once. Choose the form they talk about most, the cleaver, the black coat or the mask, and when you have no way of measuring their desk, the XL gives a full keyboard and a mouse room on almost any surface.

From the day you order, the pad spends 1–3 business days with us being printed and stitched, then usually 2–5 business days crossing from Turkey to its US address.

Care for black and orange

Ichigo designs are mostly black, which hides skin oil but shows dust and lint, and the orange hair is usually near the top, out of the way of your hand. A once-a-week wipe with a damp cloth keeps the surface clean. For a deeper wash, swish a little mild soap through lukewarm water, clean the pad gently with your hands, rinse it under the tap, then sandwich it in a towel and press before laying it out flat to dry. Keep it away from washing machines, dryers and irons.

A note on names

Ichigo Kurosaki, Bleach and the other names of characters, swords and techniques on this page are there to describe the source of our inspiration. Tite Kubo, Shueisha, Studio Pierrot and Viz Media are not affiliated with Padrift and do not sponsor or endorse our pads.

FAQ

Questions about Ichigo Mouse Pads

Which Ichigo form suits a black keyboard and red lighting?

The bankai, with Tensa Zangetsu and the long black coat, or a black Getsuga Tenshō edged in red. Both are almost entirely black and red, so red lighting makes their edges glow against a dark desk.

What size fits Zangetsu at full length?

The shikai blade is huge, so give it a long mat: L, 11.8″ × 31.5″ (30 × 80 cm), or XL, 15.7″ × 35.4″ (40 × 90 cm), lets it run above the keyboard with the hilt cloth trailing behind.

Is there an Ichigo design with no face showing?

The wooden substitute badge, Zangetsu on its own or the Hollow mask without a face behind it. Each works as a single shape on the 11.8″ × 15.7″ (30 × 40 cm) pad, set near the top edge.

Which Ichigo look comes from Thousand-Year Blood War?

The reforged Zangetsu, split into two blades, a large cleaver and a shorter knife, held one in each hand. Designs from that arc follow the sharper, darker look of the anime that began in 2022.

Where are Rukia, the captains and the Espada?

On the Bleach page, which covers the Soul Reapers, the Gotei 13, the Hollows, Hueco Mundo and the Quincy. This page keeps to designs where Ichigo is the subject.

Are these official Ichigo products?

Independent, not official. Padrift creates these Ichigo designs and prints each pad to order; Tite Kubo, Shueisha, Studio Pierrot and Viz Media have never licensed or endorsed them.
