About Haikyuu Mouse Pads
Haikyuu mouse pads for the desk
These Haikyuu mouse pads and desk mats carry Padrift artwork inspired by Haruichi Furudate's volleyball story, from Karasuno's black jerseys to the rival gyms of Miyagi and Tokyo. Each pad is 3 mm neoprene with a fabric top, a non-slip base and stitched edges, and the art is printed edge to edge in high resolution so it doesn't fade. There are eight sizes to choose from, the smallest 11.8″ × 15.7″ (30 × 40 cm) and the largest 23.6″ × 47.2″ (60 × 120 cm), and we print yours once the order comes through.
Haikyuu ran in Weekly Shōnen Jump from 2012 to 2020 and fills 45 volumes. Production I.G adapted it into four anime seasons between 2014 and 2020, and the film The Dumpster Battle reached theaters in 2024. It is a sports series with no superpowers, just height, timing and practice, which turns out to translate well to a desk.
Timing, height and the desk
Haikyuu's heroes win points in fractions of a second. A setter reads the block, a spiker reads the setter, and a libero moves before the ball has even been hit. Anyone who plays fast games at a desk knows that feeling of reacting before thinking, and that is part of why Haikyuu designs suit a gaming setup so naturally.
The other part is practice. Shoyo Hinata starts the series as a short first-year who barely knows the basics, and he gets better through repetition: receives, serves, jumps and footwork drills until they become instinct. A Haikyuu pad is a good companion for the same kind of work, whether that means ranked matches, typing practice or studying for exams.
Black and orange
Karasuno High's colors are black and orange, and they are some of the most recognizable team colors in anime. Black jerseys with orange trim, an orange-haired hero and a gym lit by afternoon sun give Karasuno designs a warm, high-contrast palette that is easy to place on a desk.
On a black desk, a Karasuno mat with orange accents looks sharp beside a black keyboard, and orange keycaps or a warm-white lamp pull the colors together. On a wooden desk, the orange warms up the wood grain. Even a plain black design with a small orange number tells anyone who knows the series which team you support.
School colors at a glance
Haikyuu's rival schools each bring their own uniform, so choosing a team often means choosing a palette.
- Karasuno: black and orange, the crows, for a black or wooden desk.
- Nekoma: bright red, the cats from Tokyo, for a desk with red accents.
- Aoba Johsai: white and turquoise, for a white desk and cool lighting.
- Shiratorizawa: purple and white, for purple lighting or a pale setup.
- Date Tech: green and white, the Iron Wall of blockers, for a desk with plants.
Fukurodani's owls and Inarizaki's foxes round out the most memorable rivals, and their animal mascots make good small-pad motifs even when you'd rather leave colors out of it.
The quick attack, corner to corner
Hinata and Kageyama's freak quick is the series' signature play. Kageyama sends the ball to the exact spot above the net where Hinata's hand will be, and Hinata, who in their early matches swings with his eyes shut, simply jumps and trusts that it will arrive. It is fast, improbable and drawn with huge diagonal energy.
That diagonal is useful on a desk mat. A design that sends the arc of the set from one lower corner toward the opposite upper corner keeps the action moving around the keyboard rather than under it. It works especially well on XL, 15.7″ × 35.4″ (40 × 90 cm), where the jump has room to rise and the keyboard can sit in the middle of the flight path.
A setter's touch
Tobio Kageyama is introduced as the King of the Court, a gifted, demanding setter whose middle school teammates stopped trusting him. His whole arc is about control: putting the ball in exactly the right place for someone else, at exactly the right speed. That kind of precision is what you want from a mouse, too.
A Kageyama design in Karasuno black and blue-black shadows suits a desk built for precise aim, with a low-sensitivity setup and a large surface to sweep across. The fabric top gives the mouse an even, predictable glide, which is the closest thing a desk has to a perfect set.
The net as a horizon
Volleyball is split by a net, and that line gives Haikyuu art a ready-made composition for a desk mat. Put the net across the back of the mat, with the opposing team or a leaping spiker above it and the court spreading toward you below. The keyboard then sits on the court, your mouse on the baseline, and nothing important is hidden.
A deep mat shows this layout off. XXL, 23.6″ × 35.4″ (60 × 90 cm), gives the net and the players above it real height behind a full keyboard, so the scene still reads when everything is set up.
Make-up exams
One of the most relatable moments in Haikyuu has nothing to do with volleyball. Before a training camp in Tokyo, Hinata and Kageyama discover that bad grades could keep them home, and the two of them, who can read a spike in a heartbeat, are hopeless at schoolwork. Teammates end up tutoring them, and the struggle to pass is as tense as any match.
That makes Haikyuu a natural pick for a study desk. A light design on the 14″ × 24″ (35.5 × 61 cm) size sits under a laptop and a notebook, and the cushioned fabric is comfortable to rest a forearm on through long homework sessions. It suits students who play volleyball and students who just like watching it.
Kenma's console
Nekoma's setter, Kenma Kozume, is the series' gamer. He is rarely seen without a handheld console, treats matches like a game to be solved, and, after the time skip, turns gaming into a career. For anyone whose desk is mostly a gaming station, Kenma is the obvious Haikyuu link.
A Kenma design with Nekoma red suits a desk with red accents and a black keyboard, and a quieter version, his two-tone hair and a game controller, works on a small pad. If the desk also holds a controller, an XL mat gives it a place to rest beside the keyboard.
Crows that learned to fly
When the story begins, Karasuno is a former powerhouse that other schools call the fallen crows, the team that can't fly anymore. The banner hung over the stands at its matches reads simply Fly, and the whole series is about earning that word back. Crow imagery, black feathers, wings and a single bird in flight, runs through Karasuno art.
A crow design suits someone who wants Haikyuu without a character on the desk. A spread of black wings across a long mat looks dramatic on a black setup, and a single feather is enough for a small pad.
Small symbols for small pads
On the 11.8″ × 15.7″ (30 × 40 cm) pad, your hand covers much of the surface, so one simple image placed toward the top does better than a team photo. Haikyuu offers plenty.
- A volleyball: yellow and blue, recognizable to anyone who has ever played in a gym.
- A crow's feather: black on orange, Karasuno in one shape.
- Number 10: Hinata's number, the same one worn by the Little Giant who inspired him.
- The Fly banner: one word on black, quietly motivating.
- A cat or an owl: Nekoma or Fukurodani, for supporters of the Tokyo schools.
After the time skip
The final arc jumps forward several years. Hinata spends time playing beach volleyball in Brazil before going pro in Japan, Kageyama plays in the professional league, and the old rivals meet again on new teams. The art of that arc changes too: older faces, professional kits, packed arenas and sunlit sand.
A beach design from Hinata's time in Brazil is one of the brightest options for a desk, with sand, sea and sky in place of a gym. It suits a light desk near a window and someone who followed the story all the way to its last chapter.
Built for long matches
A Haikyuu pad uses the same build as every other Padrift pad. The fabric top lets the mouse glide smoothly and stop where you want it, the non-slip base holds the mat in place during quick flicks, and the stitched edges keep the fabric from fraying where your wrist rests. Pads roll up for a trip to a tournament or a friend's place and lie flat again within a few hours of being unrolled.
Sizes for a Haikyuu desk
The sizes offered vary by design and are shown on each product page. For volleyball art, these are the useful ones.
| Setup | Size | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Mouse only | S, 11.8″ × 15.7″ (30 × 40 cm) | A volleyball, a feather or number 10 |
| Laptop or study desk | TCG Mat, 14″ × 24″ (35.5 × 61 cm) | A light team design under homework |
| Compact keyboard | M, 11.8″ × 27.6″ (30 × 70 cm) | A row of jerseys along the back |
| Keyboard and mouse | XL, 15.7″ × 35.4″ (40 × 90 cm) | The freak quick rising across the mat |
| Deep desk | XXL, 23.6″ × 35.4″ (60 × 90 cm) | The net with players above the keyboard |
| The whole desk | 4XL, 23.6″ × 47.2″ (60 × 120 cm) | A full court with both teams |
Desks that stretch wide without much depth can take the L, 11.8″ × 31.5″ (30 × 80 cm), or the 3XL, 19.7″ × 39.4″ (50 × 100 cm), and both give a long team line-up room to breathe.
Gifts for a volleyball fan
A Haikyuu pad suits a high school or college player, a coach, a teammate who rewatches the Shiratorizawa final before every big game, or a friend who started the anime knowing nothing about volleyball and now has opinions about blocking. Pick the school they support, or go with Karasuno if you aren't sure. For a desk you've never measured, choose XL; it fits a full keyboard and a mouse on nearly every desk.
Allow 1–3 business days for printing and stitching, then 2–5 business days for the trip from Turkey to most US addresses. For an end-of-season team gift, order at least two weeks before the banquet.
Looking after a bright pad
Orange, red and white areas show skin oil sooner than black ones, especially where the wrist sits after a long evening. A damp cloth once a week keeps those spots fresh. When it needs a real clean, hand wash the pad in lukewarm water with a little mild soap, rinse it thoroughly, squeeze the water out by pressing it inside a towel and lay it flat to dry. No washing machine, no dryer and no iron, and the team colors stay bright.
A note on names

FAQ
Questions about Haikyuu Mouse Pads
Which Haikyuu team colors suit a black desk?
Karasuno's black and orange is the natural fit, with orange keycaps or a warm lamp to pick up the trim. Nekoma's red also looks sharp beside a black keyboard.
Is there a Haikyuu design for a white desk?
Aoba Johsai's white and turquoise, Shiratorizawa's purple and white, or a sunny beach scene from Hinata's time in Brazil all sit well on a white or light wood desk.
What size Haikyuu pad fits a student's desk?
The 14″ × 24″ (35.5 × 61 cm) size fits under a laptop and a notebook. With a separate keyboard, M, 11.8″ × 27.6″ (30 × 70 cm), runs under the whole board and the mouse.
Which Haikyuu design works on a small mouse pad?
One simple symbol near the top: a yellow-and-blue volleyball, a black crow's feather, Hinata's number 10 or the Fly banner. Your hand covers the rest, so a full team scene would be wasted.
Would a Haikyuu pad make a good gift for a volleyball team?
Yes, as a season-end gift for players who also game or study at a desk. Pick the school each one supports, and order about two weeks before the event to allow for printing and shipping.
Are Padrift's Haikyuu pads licensed?
There's no license behind them. Padrift is a small independent studio that designs and prints these pads itself, and Haruichi Furudate, Shueisha and Production I.G aren't involved in making or endorsing them.
