About Louis Vuitton Mouse Pads
Monogram-style mouse pads for the desk
These Louis Vuitton-inspired mouse pads and desk mats bring the look of the house's monogram and checkerboard canvases to a desk. They are Padrift designs, not genuine Louis Vuitton products: each is printed edge to edge on our own 3 mm neoprene pad with a fabric top, a non-slip base and stitched edges, in sizes from 11.8″ × 15.7″ (30 × 40 cm) to 23.6″ × 47.2″ (60 × 120 cm).
The appeal is easy to see. A brown-and-gold monogram makes a computer desk look more like a study, the kind of surface you would expect under a fountain pen rather than a gaming mouse. Yet the pad underneath is built for everyday use, with a fabric surface for the mouse and a cushioned body for the wrist.
The patterns behind the style
Two canvases define the look. The Damier checkerboard came first, in 1888, as a way to make the trunks harder to copy. The Monogram canvas followed in 1896, designed by Georges Vuitton in memory of his father: the interlaced initials, a four-petal flower, a flower inside a circle and a four-pointed star, repeated in gold on brown.
Later variations widened the palette. Damier Azur, a white and pale blue checkerboard, arrived in 2006. Monogram Eclipse, in black and gray, has been part of the men's range since 2017. And in 2003 the artist Takashi Murakami redrew the monogram in 33 colors on white or black, the Multicolore, which returned as a re-edition in 2025. Each of these suggests a different kind of desk.
Why an all-over pattern suits a desk mat
Most desk mat designs have a focal point: a character, a logo, a landscape. Put a keyboard on top and part of that focal point disappears. A monogram has no focal point. It is the same motif repeated in a grid, so when the keyboard covers the middle, what it hides is only a few repeats, and the pattern still looks complete around it.
That makes monogram and checkerboard designs one of the few styles that look equally right at every size. On the small 11.8″ × 15.7″ (30 × 40 cm) pad the pattern reads as a texture under the mouse; on the 4XL, 23.6″ × 47.2″ (60 × 120 cm), it reads as a surface, like a canvas-covered desk top. You can also rotate or shift the pad without worrying about cutting off anything important.
Printed canvas, not leather
Some people look for a leather Louis Vuitton mouse pad. Ours aren't leather. The pattern is printed on a fabric top over 3 mm of neoprene, which is a better surface for a mouse: optical sensors track fabric consistently, the weave gives a little control when you stop, and nothing creases, scratches or dries out the way leather can. The stitched edge also keeps the fabric from lifting at the corners where a wrist rests every day.
The look stays close to the canvas that inspired it. A high-resolution, fade-resistant print keeps the gold motifs crisp against the brown, and the fabric surface has none of the shine of printed leather-look materials under a desk lamp.
Matching a monogram to your desk
The variations map neatly onto common desk setups.
- Brown and gold: the classic monogram look belongs on walnut or oak, beside a brass lamp, a leather chair and books. It warms up a desk that is otherwise all black electronics.
- Black and gray: an Eclipse-style monogram suits a black keyboard, black monitors and a matte black desk, adding pattern without adding color.
- White and pale blue: an Azur-style checkerboard is the lightest choice, for white desks, white peripherals and bright rooms.
- Multicolor on white or black: Murakami-style color is the playful option, for setups that already mix colors, figures or art on the wall.
Whichever you choose, let the pattern be the one busy element on the desk. A monogram looks deliberate next to plain peripherals and a clear wall; next to RGB, stickers and a patterned chair, it gets lost.
A simple test is the rest of the room. If your chair, lamp or shelves are wood or leather, go brown and gold; if they are metal, glass and plastic, go black or white.
Streetwear crossovers
The monogram has spent decades moving between luxury and streetwear. Louis Vuitton's 2017 collection with Supreme put the monogram in red with a white box logo. Virgil Abloh, who founded Off-White, led the men's collections from 2018 until 2021, and Pharrell Williams has led them since 2023. A Supreme-style monogram design, in red and white, suits the same red, black and white setups as a box logo.
Home offices, vanities and creator desks
Monogram designs end up on desks where looks matter as much as performance.
Home offices: a monogram desk mat under a laptop and a notebook makes a work-from-home corner look finished, and it reads as calm and expensive on a video call.
Vanities and dressing tables: many people work from a dressing table or a small desk in the bedroom. The 14″ × 24″ (35.5 × 61 cm) or the M size, 11.8″ × 27.6″ (30 × 70 cm), covers a narrow top and protects it from makeup, chargers and mugs.
Creator desks: if your desk appears on camera, a monogram is one of the few patterns that looks intentional from any angle, because there is no focal point to frame.
From trunk maker to desk
Louis Vuitton started in Paris in 1854 as a trunk maker, and the house made its name with flat-topped trunks that could be stacked in the hold of a ship or the back of a carriage, unlike the rounded trunks of the time. Some of its most famous pieces were trunks that opened into something else: a bed for an explorer, a wardrobe with drawers, a writing desk with compartments for paper and ink.
A monogram desk mat borrows a little of that idea. The pattern that once covered a traveling desk now covers a working one, and it carries the same associations of travel, craft and a well-organized surface. On a desk where you write, plan and answer email, that history fits better than most gaming art.
Pattern scale on a desk mat
With a repeating pattern, scale changes the whole effect. Large motifs read as bold and graphic, and a few repeats fill the pad; small motifs read as a fine texture, closer to the canvas of a small leather good. On the 11.8″ × 15.7″ (30 × 40 cm) pad, a pattern at roughly handbag scale looks familiar. On a desk mat, the same pattern becomes a surface you notice more as a color and rhythm than as individual initials, which is exactly what keeps it calm under a keyboard and a monitor.
Gaming on a monogram
A designer pattern doesn't change how the pad performs. The fabric top gives the mouse an even, controlled glide, the non-slip base holds during fast flicks, and the cushioned neoprene keeps long sessions comfortable. A dark brown or black monogram also hides wear well on a gaming desk, so the pad keeps its look after months of daily use.
Sizes for monogram designs
Sizes are listed for each design on its own product page. Because the pattern repeats, any size works; the choice is about the desk.
| Desk | Size | Why |

| Mouse only | S, 11.8″ × 15.7″ (30 × 40 cm) | A neat square of pattern under the hand |
| Laptop or vanity | TCG Mat, 14″ × 24″ (35.5 × 61 cm) | Covers a narrow top without hanging over |
| Compact keyboard | M, 11.8″ × 27.6″ (30 × 70 cm) | A slim strip under a tenkeyless board |
| Home office | XL, 15.7″ × 35.4″ (40 × 90 cm) | Keyboard, mouse and a notebook on one surface |

The L, 11.8″ × 31.5″ (30 × 80 cm), and the 3XL, 19.7″ × 39.4″ (50 × 100 cm), suit long, shallow desks.
A gift with a designer look
A monogram-style mouse pad gives a desk a designer look and is clear about what it is: a printed pad inspired by a famous pattern. It suits someone who has just set up a home office, a student heading into a first internship or anyone whose desk could use some warmth. When in doubt about the desk, XL is the size that works for most keyboard-and-mouse setups.
Every pad is printed and finished in 1–3 business days, then sent from Turkey; US delivery usually follows in 2–5 business days.
Caring for a light pattern
Dark brown and black monograms hide wear well. Pale designs, especially white or light blue checkerboards, show skin oil where the wrist rests sooner. Give that area a quick wipe with a damp cloth every week. When the whole pad needs cleaning, wash it by hand in lukewarm water with a little mild soap, rinse it, blot it with a towel and lay it flat to dry. Keep it away from the washing machine, the dryer and the iron, and the gold and white motifs stay crisp.

FAQ
Questions about Louis Vuitton Mouse Pads
Are these genuine Louis Vuitton mouse pads?
No. Louis Vuitton doesn't make these and hasn't approved them. They are Padrift's own designs in a monogram style, printed on our 3 mm neoprene pads, and we have no affiliation with Louis Vuitton or LVMH.
Is a monogram desk mat made of leather?
No. The pattern is printed on a fabric top over 3 mm of neoprene. Fabric gives a mouse a consistent surface to track on, and it doesn't crease, scratch or dry out the way leather can.
Will the keyboard cover the pattern?
Only a few repeats of it. An all-over monogram or checkerboard has no single focal point, so it looks complete around the keyboard at any size, from 11.8″ × 15.7″ (30 × 40 cm) to 23.6″ × 47.2″ (60 × 120 cm).
Which monogram color suits a white desk?
A white or pale design, in the spirit of the Azur checkerboard or a multicolored monogram on white. Classic brown and gold suits wooden desks, and a black-and-gray monogram suits an all-black setup.
What size monogram desk mat suits a home office?
XL, 15.7″ × 35.4″ (40 × 90 cm), fits a keyboard, a mouse and a notebook. For a laptop-only desk or a dressing table, the 14″ × 24″ (35.5 × 61 cm) size covers the top without hanging over the edge.
How do I keep a pale monogram pad clean?
Pale patterns show skin oil first, so wipe the wrist area with a damp cloth each week. If the whole pad needs it, wash it by hand in lukewarm, soapy water, rinse, blot it with a towel and lay it flat to dry.
